Adam was in a panic, the on screen vision of his singular Cyan Optic looking about, "We've got little fuel left, at most a few uranium rods! We're off course, I don't know by how much because the ship's sensors that kept us on track to Haven are down, I have no idea how long we've been asleep! And the Captain is dead. You recall Captain Steele? Powerful? Commanding? Well they're dead, as is most of the crew."

The AI bugged out for a bit before returning, "Okay note to self, AI core is not getting enough power to sustain freak outs and panic. So, You've got salvaging tools, we're going to need to salvage what we can of this ship."

Jacques wakes up, still a bit groggy from the cryosleep.

"C'mon mom, just a few more minutes..."

He hears the emergency call though, and snaps out of it.

"Salvaging? Not exactly my suit, but I suppose I could try..."

He pulls out his toolbox, and gets to work on salvaging what he can, and what he thinks is worth saving.

"Hey, uh, any ideas on exactly WHAT I'm supposed to be salvaging?"

The professor dusts off his space suit as he readies his salvaging gear. His cybernetic eyes whirl and flash at he begins analyzing the state of the ship. As he does so he gestures at Jacques.

"Please, wait a minute, Mister Phoenix. Allow me to assess the situation before we begin salvage and repairs."

Jacques drops the tools back, holding his hands up in surrender.

"Fine, fine, just trying to do my duty."

Crashsat suddenly comes online and his eyes glow softly. He loks around and notices a severe state of disrepair and disorder.

"Oh my," he put his hands on his hips, "what did you people do!" He notices the prfoessor is awake. He marches to stand by his side and sighs loudly. "You.. you guys are insured, right?"

"Look we need to get out of here. We can set up a station somewhere maybe with the resources we can get. Just please take me with you I don't wanna die alone," Adam responds, "We're low on resources and we need a long term base so I can set up contact with any other ships and see how the Journey to Haven went."

A few blueprints for standard small ships are displayed on the monitor, "It may help. Unless good old Prof Proton has a alternative."

Jacques turns to face Crashsat.

"Wait...we were supposed to be insured? Why do you people not tell us this before cryosleep?!"

He pulls out his handgun, in case anything should happen in their state of disarray.

"I'll stand watch, just in case. This is space, remember that."

Crashsat looks at Jacques. "If you work for Ulterion and are on this ship then you should have been insured. If you're smart." Crashsat unholsters his own pistol. "Nice try action hero, but I'm security detail now."

"Since the Prof is kinda kicking me off salvage duty, I might as well stand on guard with you. Two guns are better than one."

He keeps his own pistol ready, but not aimed at anything, trying not to seem like a threat to Crashsat.

"I really don't mean any harm..."

He tries to use his diplomatic skills to calm Crashsat down.

"You do realize, any ship that may attack us, is probably going to be equipped to deal with a couple of beings using handguns right? And I didn't kick you off salvage duty, I merely told you to pause as I assessed the situation."

Robert makes a thoughtful noises as he continues his studying of the situation. "Given the damage, if we convert the remnants of my ship into a station, we'll be stuck here for a while. Unless, that asteroid we smashed into has rich deposits. Then we might be able to do both. Still for now, lets begin the salvaging. Mister Phoenix you can start over there."

The good professor points at the area that had the least sensitive components of the ship. Mostly hull plating and the like. As he starts salvaging the more delicate parts of the ship and the reactor, he fiddles sets up one of his science tools to scan the asteroid for ore deposits.

The Asteroid yields iron, silver, ice and uranium on the scan. Enough to last them a little bit.

"So Prof. I hear you helped build this ship, that true?" Alan asks.

"Finally, something to do."

He gets out his toolbox and starts salvaging the point the Professor pointed out.

"Yes I did. I was a lead designer. Evidently though, someone apparently was unable to spot a sizable asteroid and engage in evasive maneuvers. Seeing as how the crew was in cyrosleep, and the medical AI wouldn't have had piloting controls..."

The professor trails off not explicitly blaming the AI for the crash. But heavily implying it.

S.A.T.N.A.V. finally finished rebooting, two blues eyes glowing from the final Cryosleep chamber as the android sat up mechanically. It took in the state of the ship as well as the crew panicking about having crashed into an asteroid, "ADAM! I leave you to fly the ship for a few measly years and you crash it into the biggest rock in space?" The navigational droid exited the chamber, clearly not impressed with the AI and maing no effort to hide this. Noticing the other android, Crashsat, was pointing a weapon at one of the few remaining crew S.A.T.N.A.V. approached the military droid and placed a sillicon-skinned hand on the pistol, "Crashsat, shooting the remaining crew will be unlikely to benefit the current situation."

The droided turned 'her' head to Professor Proton, "I am the Shipboard Automated Technical and Navigational Assistance Valet... S.A.T.N.A.V for convenience." She introduced, having only been activated a few times before the ship's launch, "Please tell me if there's anything I can do to help."

"Leave the one AI to pilot a ship by himself since the medical AI should be perfect company despite it having no personality or ability to hold a conversation or opinion," ADAM muttered.

"Look, Nav, we both know you are a human relations machine while I am a piloting system someone was cruel enough to give a personality, I went mad shortly and then I forget the rest."

"Is this the part where the tinheads, tired of their craptastically-created lives and being blamed for not doing the things they're supposed to be doing, rebel against their oppressive meat masters?" moaned one of the few surviving fleshbags snarkily as he slogged his way out of his cryopod, a hand running the gamut of his dark bedhead-stricken hair as he let loose a yawn. "If so, think I can file a rain check till' after breakfast? Or, y'know, after we get off this asteroid? That'd be great."

Surveying the crash, Remy's eyes visibly narrowed, first out of shock at how bad the situation really was, then grumpily as the realization began to set in that they were, in fact, super-stranded, and was now being forced both out of his comfort zone and into the field of manual labor. Suddenly, being back on Earth was looking a lot more prospective.

"Whelp. Guess we'll start with the obvious questions if you want to help," Remy groaned again as he turned to face S.A.T.N.A.V., the anti-cryo drugs working their magic as the grogginess began to leave his glazed eyes, "We don't know when we are; do we at least have an idea of where we are? Getting off this rock isn't really gonna do us any favors if we don't know where we're goin' once we can, right?"

Robert Proton sideeyes Crashsat but figures now isn't the time to bicker while they deal with the wreck of their ship. Instead he does a quick double check of the ship before dishing out directions to Victoria and SATNAV about where they can help salvage.

"Miss Boucher, you can aid Mister Phoenix with the hullplates. SATNAV, you can aide me with salvaging what we can of the computer systems."

"We still got two good old nuclear reactors that can be salvaged by the way. Same area where my computer core is kept... say... where are we gonna stick me and why is that survivor not wearing a helmet? We'll be exposed to the void soon!"

Realizing his fashion faux pas (and the inevitable suffocation that would likely follow), Remy — all suit and nothing to keep his brain from freezing in the void of space — aptly struck out to remedy that particular problem, fishing out the helmet he'd now regrettably ditched at the last second from his pod, positive the trip wouldn't involve any sort of asteroid-crashing-shenanigans that would ruin his beauty rest. Boy, did he look stupid!

"I have a name, thanks," retorted the foolish-looking Remy to the obviously more keenly observant AI, slapping his helmet back in place against the suit with a hiss.

"Right. You guys go salvage your fancy tech and save our AI from the confines of his possibly radioactive prison, and I'll... uh..." Remy began, eyes darting back and forth behind his helm for something worthwhile to do that wasn't exceptionally life threatening, "Spaceship. Logs. Right. Flight recorder. Any chance it might have survived, ADAM?"

"With the asteroid we crashed into having a decent chunk of ores in it, I believe for the time being ADAM, we'll stick you in the station we'll ideally construct before mining out the asteroid while also getting a better take on our current situation. Since, it looks like my ship's sensor suite was smashed in the collision. We'll also perform proper burial services or as best we can manage for the crew that didn't make it."

The Professor's cybernetic eyes whirl as he adjusts visual spectrum and consults his scientific tools to make sure the nuclear reactors weren't likely to meltdown or the like. If they were stable for the time being he'd leave them alone for the moment, otherwise he would make them his primary objective.

S.A.T.N.A.V. gave Crashsat a long look - while human error was generally the cause of stupid blunders like this, there were no such user actually piloting the ship at the time. "I bet you did forget the rest you glorified answering machine..." The gynoid muttered to herself, really wishing she hadn't left ADAM alone to pilot all this time, "I'm not just a pretty face module, ADAM, I know how to pilot and - unlike you, it would appear - navigate." She added, pacing over to the nearest navigational or sensor access point and attempting to gain a better grasp of how far off track they were and the viability of the non-demolished computer systems.

"ADAM, how long have we been off course? Or have you forgotten that too?" She tried in a more civil tone, at least the Prof. had his head screwed on right for the most part.

Victoria nods and goes to help Jacques salvage the hull, doing a rather rough job of it. She rolls her eyes at the robot banter in the background.
