Super-Super Ultimate Series of Battles includes a fight with Goku, Gohan, and Goten in Supreme Kai's World.
And it's another NPC-given mission, so you can't bring allies the first time.
now may be a good time to look into getting Tien as a master, for his Z-Soul that cancels the you-know-what.

But the real problem is that they seem to give you a time limit that's about 5 minutes too short to make the Ultimate Finish possible.

So I completed Vegeta, Piccolo and Ginyu's training. It's strangely heartwarming how Vegeta fires you as his student from that point onward and says you're officially enemies now; that's like the highest possible praise coming from him.
And seriously, turning Super Saiyan (Super Vegeta in particular) and spamming Special Beam Cannon has got to be the cheesiest move ever. I tried the same with Giant Storm and Final Flash, but the Beam Cannon is where it's at (it's faster, more accurate, and can't be blocked).

Personally, I like Super Kamehameha, and I equip it alongside SBC. It fires about as quick as SBC, to the point that I can combo it off of Gravity Impact.
Speaking of Super Kamehameha, I think this is hilarious.
Okay, so to be Goku's student, you have to be level 70, and beat the story. Then you train up with him, fight a bunch of battles, and eventually earn Super Kamehameha.
And then, you see the skill, and it says "you need to have Ki to use Ultimate attacks."
It's like "way to tell me that with one of the last half-dozen or so Ultimates I can possibly get.

So it looks like that strategy I just mentioned is listed as a Game-Breaker on the wiki.
It's kind of fun to figure this stuff out on your own, though. I've been getting Z-Ranks left and right with the SBC + Super Vegeta.
Special Beam Cannon was what I used to cheese my way through the campaign initially but then I ran into Goten and Trunks' quests and it didn't cut it so I switched over to Cell's Perfect Kamehameha. It does more damage, has a wider and longer range and, at least for the AI, is impossible to interrupt. The only downside is that it takes longer than any other Kamehameha variant to cast but the AI is too stupid to dodge it anyway.
The Perfect Kamehameha has been my primary finish since I've received it.

So what kinds of set-ups are people running anyway?
Mine is a Saiyan named Kail (as in the vegetable) that I recently got to 85, with an emphasis on Blast Supers and Basic Attack (lowest is Strike Supers and Health).
Anyway, here's my current skill build:
Square: Tyrant Lancer (sometimes Big Bang Attack)
Triangle: Instant Transmission
Circle: Gravity Impact
Cross: Maximum Charge
Ultimate 1: Super Vegeta 2
Ultimate 2: Super Kamahamehanote
Evasive: Victory Cannon (sometimes Super Explosive Wave)
Z-Soul: It's like a Super Saiyan Bargain Sale
I found it goofy how Gohan and Videl's training was more like Videl's training with Gohan occasionally joining in. With the aforementioned lack of impact in my strike supers, Videl's skills didn't end of doing much for me.

I don't have a single build. Because I have two characters with 7 different move lists each because of the presets you can create. So I pretty much have completely different builds for characters depending on my mood.

Human male that I'm trying to make average in everything, but I find myself just pouring points into stamina to make Kaioken actually last longer than half a second.
I hate transforming in this game so much.

I just run a lady saiyan with balanced stats. Boring but she hasn't let me down yet.
I picked up Vegeta's outfit from the Revival of F DLC and I'm loving that. Sure my Ki supers take a hit but Super Vegeta 2 makes up for it.
