As most of us know (hopefully), TV Tropes has a guideline for Handling Spoilers. Among this policy are no spoilers covering work names on trope pages (which I like), no spoilers on trope names on work pages (I do not like it, but I can still see why), and no spoilers above the example line in the description (I\'m okay with on trope and work pages, but annoys me on character pages).

This Spoiler Policy seems to create a conflict on the wiki with those who like the policy against those who don\'t follow it. I\'m one who doesn\'t like it, but I understand that it needs to be followed. I\'m not saying to completely redo it but we should talk about here. What exactly are we talking about? Just general opinions about the policy, any flaws you see, and if you overall think that Spoiler Policy works or not. \'\'\'Please do not be rude, as it is very rude to be rude.\'\'\'

If you are asking why don\'t I put this on the discussion page for Handling Spoilers, it\'s because I want a good number of people to talk about it, not just one or two. I do hope that I\'m not doing something wrong, and I apologize if I am, but I feel like it\'s about time we all talked about it.

We were having a discussion about the spoiler policy in this thread, just below. Let's not spawn lots of duplicate conversations.
