Silly question: was there any explanation about why Robo is back to his classic appearance? His body was rebuilt from scratch in Ring of Fire, with a slightly different appearance. He was still "new look Robo" in Bug Hunt. But at the start of Spectre of Tomorrow, he's back to "Robo classic".
Admittedly, it's been maybe two years since Bug Hunt (Sept 2015 to sometime 2017), so he could have gotten some bodily reconstruction since then. But considering how limited his resources are while rebuilding Tesladyne, I doubt he'd have much means or motive to do so unless something major happened in the meantime.
It's just his head. They probably stuck some head caps on.

It certainly fits him aesthetically, but overtly hijacking a guy in public like that seems too overt for his normal sneaky-secrety style. I'd expect ALAN to just make his puppet leave a note when nobody's looking or something.

Long story short: we screwed up. If you want to ge specific I screwed up but let's not get bogged down in pointless details, hmmmm? We had a choice to toss a million pages at Anthony with an impossible deadline to color them or to put a hold on uploading pages for a while. These were dumb choices. So we figured, what the heck, let's just upload the pages without colors and that way you guys still get content without killing anyone behind the scenes. Win-win!
We'll replace these with color versions when they're ready. Meanwhile! You can pre-order both the first and second issues of Atomic Robo and the Spectre of Tomorrow. Head to your local comic shop or grab 'em from your favorite online store. As usual comiXology versions will be available day and date with the print versions. Same for Real Science Adventures!
