He means Kimishima. Kimishima stepped up as CEO until they found a permanent replacement, and now they have found one.

Kimishima, not Kirishima; the president of Nintendo can't make hims skin super hard.
....imma blame autocorrupt on that one, I actually did know that.
I mean, have we checked?
So, their first new IP on mobile. Going to be very interesting to follow.

Choosing Cygames (and purchasing some of their stock) for this means they're pretty serious with wanting this to succeed.
Granblue Fantasy, Shadowverse, Princess Connect, Rage of Bahamut, Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls, and more. Invests in console games as well because they have nothing better to do. Seems incapable of doing anything that won't make them all the money. Easily one of the best partners imaginable.
I suppose I can now not bother with trying out Granblue myself.

I like a lot of the Granblue characters' designs but I'm hesitant to actually try the game fully. The tutorial confused me and I've heard the gacha is pretty bad.
I look forward to the inevitable Granblue collab/anime this will spawn.
Actually wait does this mean Nintendo characters could now possibly show up in Cygames stuff
PlatinumGames is making a Granblue Action RPG which is planned to release this year or next year if that's more up your alley.
Isn’t Platinum making a Granblue game for PS 4? I might check that out once it’s out.
Edit: ’d but yeah, PS 4 exclusive

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyWhen I get a PS 4 of my own I'll definitely check that out then.
I kinda hope this Cygames collab opens the door for a possible FEH collab with this game or Granblue.
The GBF producer said he bought a new PC just for the Platinum game so it might be on PC . Eventually (pretty much everything original owned Cygames ends up on PC one way or another anyways so).
Also if Draglia Lost doesn't do well in its first few months, expect them to do a crossover to bring in new players, it worked for GBF!
Poor DeNA. Nintendo may say otherwise, but they seem to be walking away from their first mobile partner.
Aren't they still using De NA for Pocket Camp, Mario Run, and possible Mario Kart Tour?
Analyst Dr. Serkan Toto is expecting more news today.
Normal time for the presentation: Tuesday June 12th at 9 am PDT.
Opening rounds of the Splatoon 2 Tournament is 3:30 pm PDT to 6 pm PDT on June 11th. Finals on the 12th.
Smash Invitations starts immediately after the Splatoon 2 Tournament Finals ends.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Nintendo specifically stated, "Games launching beyond 2018 will be featured at a later date," which is... interesting. I guess when they say the video presentation will feature games launching this year, they actually mean it will only feature games launching this year this time?
Something that hasn't been mentioned here is that Nintendo is still planning on supporting the 3DS throughout 2019.
The thing won't die.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Dragalia Lost PV.
Looks potentially fine, but can't say I'm a fan of the chibi models.

I like them, and it feels like something meant more to appeal to younger audiences, as well.
Won't stop me from downloading it, though.
Watch Symphogear3D models that are stylized to have the proportions of 2D sprites will never not look goofy to me.
I think those have their own charm to them. But to each their own, I guess.
Watch SymphogearIt's easier for me to have a Willing Suspension of Disbelief with sprites, as weird as that sounds. When I see sprites, my mind doesn't interpret them as being literal depictions of the characters they represent. Due to their limited detail, expressiveness, and animation, they're more like puppets used to tell a story. These games often include more detailed character portraits or stills◊ to give my mind a more "accurate" picture of what the characters look like. Plus, the top-down perspective makes it seem like I'm viewing the world from high above, so that the characters are rather small doesn't strike me as odd.
I cannot interpret 3D models as being anything other than the characters themselves. Every detail can be analysed at every angle, there's a unique animation for every possible situation, and the camera will often zoom in on the models during cutscenes for dramatic effect (as in that trailer). This is fine in most games, but with chibis, I am utterly unable to take it seriously. This is part of why Octopath Traveler is giving me a much better vibe than Bravely Default.
...GEEZ that ended up wordy. Sorta related note, I'd love a new 2D Zelda featuring Minish Cap-quality or better pixel art.

Draglia Lost official website, confirmed to be a gacha game since the pre-registration campaign is for gacha currency.
I wonder if Cygames is going to sneak Bahamut into it and keep wanking that their version is the strongest dragon evar
Looks like ever other low budget anime mobile game. I'm surprised Nintendo are sticking their name on it.
I guess this is just what this market is, now.

13 years and two and a half months.
Edit for context: on Iwata's tenure as Nintendo president.
