Amber let out a low whistle and the fight in the arena, "Seems they are really taking no shit. Barely scratched each other,"

Taking the brunt of Reverb's strike with its shield, Crom staggered backwards a few steps and switched from its hammer to Nemesis. Sliding its shield out of the way so it could wield the axe two-handed, Crom lunged towards scion and swung an overhand blow at Scion's shoulder.

Sorry about the wait, TV Tropes has been acting weird for me since the update.

Reverb's handle slowed the blow but the axe managed to make an impact in Scion. The mech jerked back, trying move before Chrom could pull the axe back.

The music slowed slightly and quietened.

Base Drop

As the sound returned, now much deeper, Scion swung Reverb with great force at Chrom's midsection.

Sordini took another drag.

"This is nothin' compared to a 8th octave fight. Shit gets kicked, miracles are made, and the crowds goes nuts." he said with a grin.

He had one gold tooth in his mouth that shone brightly.

Crom was forced to its knees by Scion's blow as Erik's mech had made the mistake of taking its shield out of play too early in the battle.

As his Mech began getting back to its knees, Erik took a deep breath and unleashed a Battle Cry, causing Crom's joints to lock in place as the Mech prepared for its next attack

OOC how's Crom staying frozen through another of Scion's attacks sound?

As Chrom's joints locked due to its fugue, Scion drew back reverb again and adjusted its stance quickly before making a downwards attack.

Amber let out a whistle, "What the hell goes on in these 8th octave fights. Do they fight giant mechanical dragons or something?"

"They're still mostly one on one. But imagine this, yeah?: Imagine the greats. Mozart, Minaj, Metallica. All those classics. Now imagine their music fightin'. "

As Sordini continued, his hand motions became increasingly chaotic.

"We talkin'titans, giants, gods! An 8th octave fight transcends fightin, or duelin. It's like music isself is in the arena beatin the shit outta itself."

"And it rakes in the dough like no one's business."

Scion's attack would hit home just as Erik ended his one note wail and Crom lunged forwards with blinding speed, swinging Nemesis at Scion's torso.

Nemesis struck as intended, making a reasonable strike into the front of the mech. Scion pushed with Reverb's handle against Nemesis', clashing in an attempt to force the other mech back.

Shoved back by Scion's mighty push, Crom angled Nemesis in such a way that it might stand a chance at catching the haft of Reverb and drag its opponent back with it.

Scion slid forwards along with the opposing mech and let go of Reverb. The weapon retracted on a tether, returning the hammer to the mech's back. It extended Vivace again and attempted to uppercut Chrom with the right arm, taking advantage of the now close range, while reading the left arm to try and counter attempts to block or parry.

As the two CANONs fought atop the airship, it began to sway slightly with their movement. Lightning began to crash around them in their arena. Storm winds began to pick up slightly.

They were atop a zeppelin after all.

Amber whistled at the stage change, and thought about what Sordini had said. "Sordini, would teamups be a thing?" She asked, thinking about some of her favorite bands from the past, Daft Punk the Techno Pride of France the most prominent.

"Heh? Oh, team ups? Lucky a youse to mention it. We haven't really done team-ups yet, so you lot's getting ta be our guinea pigs. We got us some extra large arenas just for the occaision." Sordini replied with a toothy grin.

Amber beamed, that alone had excited her. When these first matches were over, Team ups would be awesome!

Bumpin!

Too close to swing Nemesis around effectively or block with the massive axe, Crom took the brunt of Scion's uppercut to its head and staggering back a few steps due to the sudden shaking of the zeppelin.

Realizing the battle was nearing its peak, Erik completely ceased singing and segued into a Glorious Solo as Crom stashed Nemesis and drew Rhapsody. Closing somewhat with Scion, Crom whirled the massive greatsword at its opponent's right arm.

As Crom approached, Scion swapped Vivace for Baseline and pushed to the side, clashing the staff with his opponent's sword and attempting to block it. The mech attempted to brace itself, sliding along the uneven floor slightly as the weapons clashed together.
