"That's not all that special. I can do it too you know." Madhavi said, reaching over to her bedside night table and taking up her Mystic Code. She set upon her neck the mirrored necklace, and muttered some incantations.

"Fool the soul through the window,
Cloak the light in a robe iridescent,
Change form that which is desired."

Upon the ending of the third line, Madhavi's form shifted and melted, becoming nearly identical to that of Uther's older form. The only difference, whether intentional or accidental, was that her eyes remained the same reddish-purple hue.

"Ohh, as expected of my Master... you don't cease to impress me. It seems like you are skilled in the art of deception" says Uther, inspecting the illusion closely "Hmmm, indeed the end effect is similar, however, the actual process is different. An illusion against my transformation. Though I must say, the attention to detail is more than praise worthy... you are very observant milady"

Madhavi took an exaggerated bow, then began strolling around the room, still in Uther's form.

"Ooh look at me, King of England, scares girls in the morning, bleh." She said, in an even more exaggerated kingly voice that sounded nothing like Uther's own.

Looking at the clock then, she frowned, and snapped her fingers. The illusion around her deteriorated as if it were dust blown in the wind.

"I'm going to have to call into cancel my training today... I'm definitely not going to make it in time now.."

Uther sat at the nearest available chair or table, a face full of amusement as he said "If that display is meant to shame me for my behavior it is failing miserably, milady. Indeed, I'd consider it a success to receive such a vivid and amusing reaction"

Then however, she spoke of canceling her training due to the time and Uther's face became a bit more serious... a bit worried "Oh... I decided to let you sleep a little longer while I made some breakfast... I didn't take into account that you may have other responsibilities. What is this training and how late are you?"

"Breakfast. Sounds good. Yeah, I'm going to need to.." Madhavi began, walking back to the nightstand and grabbing her smartphone. "-cancel my Boxing Training. We're going to have a tournament in a month or so, which is why I have specialized training a couple days a week. I'll make something up."

"But what did you make fo- Hey, Alex. Yeah, it's Madhavi. I gotta cancel for today. No, you know I wouldn't slack off like this, It's something important trust me. HEY! Next time I see you I'll break your face for that! .. Yeah. Sounds good. Later." She ended the call, then turned to face Uther. "What's there to eat?"

"Training for a fight, I'm sorry I got in the way of it... though your training and event may be interrupted by the war. "What, do these things usually last longer than a month? That's dumb, I thought it'd last a week at most. But what I do know is that the breakfast sounds nice!" Madhavi replied, following Uther.

At some point, she passed him and got down into the kitchen before he did. She grabbed a fork, then sat down on a bench and awaited her meal.

With a light frown, Uther served the breakfast to his Master "Milady, it appears like you may not be taking this deadly and possibly lethal battle that could reduce this entire city to rubble seriously. I really hope it doesn't come to it, but a lot of things could go wrong"

"I'll be fine, don't worry about it. I've got a strong Servant, and it's not like I'm weak and useless. I'm sure there are a bunch of magi that rely just on their magic in a fight." Madhavi replied nonchalantly. Immediately after speaking, she began to speed-eat.

Her mixed-blood forced her to intake the amount of calories a professional athlete would need to. Granted, it helped keep her figure while eating just about anything she wanted, but it could get annoying sometimes (i.e., during times when she couldn't be eating).

Uther brought a hand to his face at that, looking at her through a pair of open fingers "I see... I guess it's good to be confident but I'll try to be extra careful for the two of us"

Then he saw how quickly she ate and concentrated a bit on her, noticing something somewhat strange "Hmmm... say, you remind me a bit of a close friend of mine. Is your line... uh, completely human, milady?"

Madhavi held out her plate for more, despite not having completely finished. After a few seconds of chewing, she began to talk again.

"Not really. I've got some demon blood in me. Way back, one of my ancestors bred with a... uh.. Rak-something and that demon blood entered my blood I guess. It's got it's perks, like being naturally strong and good at illusion magic. I'm not supposed to talk about it though. I'm pretty sure if someone found out we'd get demon hunters sicced on us. Or something like that. That's what happens in movies anyway. It's not like I hate having mixed blood. It's pretty fun sometimes."

"Heh, my friend had similar views regarding his own situation" Says Uther, allowing himself a moment to remember the mischievous smile of the greatest magic user he had ever met... of the happiest years he spent during his mortal life.

"Hmm but I see, demonic blood in you... Well, that ought to give us an edge or two, Milady Madhavi" says Uther as he serves her another plate, grabbing an apron to start making a little more food "Hmmm... well, you are of a magus family, that is evident... however, how did you enter the Grail War? What do you know of the current situation?"

"Well, a couple days ago, I had these-" Madhavi raised her hand, revealing her Command Spells. "-appear on my hand. I showed them to my dad, and he didn't know what they were, but he handed me this book on magical things that he had lying around. I looked through it, and found out what they were. A Grail War sounds so exciting, but it seems exactly like something my dad wouldn't let me take part in. So I summoned you in secret, without him knowing. It's not like I have the money to buy a catalyst, so summoning you was really lucky on my part!"

Uther looked at his Master for a few seconds, after her nonchalant explanation of how and why she had decided to enter the Grail War. The he couldn't help himself. He started to laugh. A merry, joyful sound, though his voice didn't have the booming property from his older form.

"Oh milady, I'm sorry but those words... I don't know if I'm more worried or happy to have such an adventurous Master" He then takes a deep breath, trying to go back to seriousness "Madhavi... are you aware of the risks? Even if I'm strong, which I am, there are Servants out there... they may be faster, more cunning, trickier than I am. I will protect you and yours with all I have... but in battle, there is always risk. The thought of going into the unknown, of testing yourself and fighting for something you believe in... I understand that feeling, and I really admire. I'd like nothing more than to fight together with someone who is willing to risk all for something they believe in. However, someone who dives into danger without realizing the risks, without thinking in those who may be harmed... there is a line between courage and foolishness, milady. Beware that you remain firmly in the territory of the first one"

Madhavi's previously happy expression hardened. She stood up from her seat, and stared directly at Uther.

"Do you really think me so immature as to enter something like this without being prepared for the risks? I know that I can die because of this. I know that I'm going to be up against powerful magi and even more powerful servants. I'm fully aware of my situation, thank you. "

Assassin of Black, Freshly Summoned and in Mint Condition

Assassin raised an eyebrow as the girl before him took a few steps back.
She was... frightened? He knew full well his appearance was far from an inviting one, but surely a magus of standing enough to take part in an event such as this would be braced for such sights?

He held in a sigh, keeping his stoic composure as he waited patiently for the girl to act. To her credit, she didn't keep him waiting long; she took a deep breath and took a stand against his presence, resolving herself to not be cowed.

And as she demanded his true name from him, the side of his mouth curved a little as he held in a little smirk. Interesting little one, she was.

"Very well, Master. I accept your terms, and therefore the contract is complete," He began, his tone as level as it was before as his armour dissolved from his form, leaving the stained white tunic beneath it behind, "As of my identity, I am Marcus Junius Brutus the Younger. I assume one of your... stature would be familiar with that name?"

Without the armour, he seemed noticeably less intimidating; all that remained now was a tall man in a tunic, running his hands through his hair to organize it into some semblance of tidiness.

Berserker of Red, Summoning

The term 'Heroic Spirit' carries several connotations and implications, when the reality is all too happy to discard these. Never mind those Heroes that better fit the role of Villain in the modern era, many Heroic Spirits were never heroes to begin with. And as much as Heroic Spirits are a human construct, Heroic Spirits are entities that transcend humanity; even Gods that were stripped of their immortal breath in their own time can be incarnated as a Heroic Spirit.

What Long Martino would summon to act as his Servant was neither Hero, Villain , or God for that matter. The infamous 'Never-Caught Killer' originated from the congregation of human malice and souls, and what answered his call that night was much the same. A beast- no, a Monster born from humanity that had long since abandoned their trappings.

As the man finished his incantation, the circle around the woman began to emit a dim, eerie glow. There was no great fanfare, nor any sense of majesty to it; all that indicated anything was happening besides the faint luminescence of the circle was the slow draining of warmth from the room.
In a few moments, even that was gone as the light of the circle died down. The woman whimpered and, gathering her strength, tried to drag her body from the spent construct as a smoky fog began to seep out from it.

The fog suddenly froze. The woman hardly noticed.

She didn't even stand a chance as it descended on her. She couldn't even scream as it filled her mouth and nose, subsuming and devouring what was left of her mind in a single instant.
Her body fell to the ground, face-up and twitching violently as her eyes bugged out of their sockets. Her chest rose and fell at an irregular rate, and blood trickled from her nose. A moment passed, and it all stopped. Her dead eyes wide open, she lay still on the floor.

And then she blinked with glassy, soulless eyes and rose to her feet as if nothing had happened. No breath escaped her body as she took a look around the room. She focused for a few seconds upon the young man with red hair, and noted the flow of energy that was emerging between them; but just as quickly, her attention was drawn to the gallery of corpses strewn across the room.

Her eyes began to glint with hunger, and she took a step towards the bodies; but the strengthening tug of mana between herself and the young man distracted her. Nagged at her.
She grit her teeth and turned.

"You, boy. You summoned me here, right?"

The glint of hunger hadn't faded from her eyes. In fact, as they probed the young man before them, the idea of a fresh meal seemed to infuse them with a greater, more dangerous sense of longing.

Jessica Harway

Isis didn't know the mechanics of the War she had just been summoned into? Well, it was time for her to explain. Jessica walked out into the white soaked land of Faecastle. She walked down the sidewalk, her hands tucked away into her pockets as she communicated what Isis needed to know through their mental link. About the teams, about the two competing 'Grails' apparently. The young Magus listed what she knew while making her way to the church.

Close out post for Jessica, will get back to her later.

Saber of Red, Day ?

Oh, oh! Her Master didn't like getting touchy-feely like that so early? Alright, that was fun, Saber could just force her to warm up to the treatment in due time. "Ah, I'm so sorry, Master," she said while prying herself away from her Nun Master. "It's been so long since I've 'felt' such a bosum, you'll have to forgive me," the Saber of Red flipped her hair from her face while putting herself into a curtsy.

"I am Julie d'Aubigny, Mistress of the Theater. I hope we can finish this Grail War up so I can partake in the vices of the modern era," it was already obvious these two were going to get along swimmingly.

Rider of Red

"Alright," Rider said as he grabbed the keys tossed to him by his Master. When he asked what being a 'Rider' let him do, Adrastus smiled. "I guess we'll find out together, won't we?" he flipped the key, the Chrysler started up. He pulled out of the lot with grace while following the designated road told to him by Elias. That is until he forced some Prana into it for a burst of speed then slowed down all in the same instant. Yep, he was a Rider Class Servant alright.

Uther Pendragon

"Hmmm alright then, we don't need to talk about it just yet" says Uther, smiling at her charmingly in apology as he serves her another stack of pancakes with extra syrup "Sorry about that, milady. I seem to have soured the morning. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

Sue McCoy

When asked if someone of her stature would know of the name, for a moment she thought it may be a dig at her size. Then she thought it may be a dig at her miserable actual status as a Magus. Then however, she realized that he may not know about that and be sincere "Yeah, there is a famous quote about you after all, Et Tu Brute?" she says, probably not knowing the meaning of subtlety... after all it would have been the last words of Brutus' closest friend right after he ran him through.

"One of the most powerful men of Rome, made rich by money lending and interest, took part in many battle and eventually was in on the plot to murder the dictator Caesar" says Sue, roughly summarizing part of his career as she let facts stored somewhere in her mind wash over her. It wasn't exactly encouraging that the man she summoned was one of the greatest figures of betrayal in story... though she hoped that didn't repeat. Not at all. Then again, she did notice, even if barely, how he seemed to be trying to be a bit less intimidating to her.

Sue then took another breath, figuring out the next stage of action "What are you aware off about the current situation? Of the nature of the ritual you have been summoned in, Asssassin?"

Isis

Isis acknowledged the situation her Master was describing, taking note of the new rules... the teams aspect was at the same time thrilling and worrisome. What she could do with the help of allies would be astounding... however and entire team of seven heroes pit against them was also nothing to be cocky about. Two conjoined Grails... that rubbed wrongly at her. She desperately wanted to search for the Grail and then understand it's working... the nature of this ritual that called 14 heroes into battle. She'd have to dig into that... in addition to keeping her newest ally alive and well.

Sister Astrid

"Vices...? You really shouldn't be thinking of such things, Saber" says Astrid, searching her memory for the name of this particular Servant. She wasn't exactly much of a scholar... she had memorized many of the Holy Texts on request of her handlers as well as some other information needed for her proper development as an Executor, but aside from that...

However, the name Julie D'Aubigny did sound somewhat familiar... she must have read it in passing during her studies. However this woman was, she probably had some history with the Church. Likely, not a good one.

"Anyway, I do hope we can collaborate for the proper and prompt ending of this conflict so that the Sacred Grail may be bestowed upon the appropriate parties. Do I have your support in this, Saber?" asks Sister Astrid in a tone as robotic as her own words.

Madhavi Cotterill - Saber of Black, Day ?

"Don't worry about it. You'll find some way, probably." Madhavi replied, turning her attention to the new stack of pancakes near her. Nice.

"It's a good thing it's the weekend right now. You'll probably need to fight with me if I go to school or something. I'm counting on you here, to help me win this Grail." She idly ran her fingers along the inscriptions on the back of her mirrored necklace. That usually had a soothing effect on her.

It carried some nice memories.

Unless Dalt wants another post, this is ending the Day ? interaction between the two

Elias Tavert - Rider of Red, Day -1

Elias rolled down the windows as they drove. The brisk night air felt pretty good flowing through his short blonde hair and it helped clear his mind a bit.

The sudden burst of speed then halting knocked some of the wind out of his lungs, and the surprise coupled with the realization of what his Servant had done caused him to laugh loudly. "So you are a Rider after all! Not that I doubted you or anything!"

With the nail of his index finger (permanently kept sharp for this very purpose) Elias casually inscribed the Uruz rune into the car's dashboard. The runic spells effect manifested as circuit-like designs emanating from the rune's location, travelling throughout the car's framework. These lines would glow occasionally before becoming invisible once more.

Assassin of Black, Newly Summoned and containing 50% more Lime Extract

Brutus visibly flinched as the girl mentioned those particular words. He composed himself quickly afterwards and returned to his previous stoic demeanour, but it was fairly clear the mention of... that particular event had unsettled him a tad.

He seemed much less peturbed about what she recounted next, even if his nod to confirm it was a little half-hearted, and as she asked him what he knew, he was very quick to answer.
"I've been summoned as part of a ritual to obtain a wish-granting device known as the Holy Grail. I'm one of seven- no, wait, fourteen? Yes, it seems I'm one of fourteen Servants summoned to fight for the right of a Master to claim that Grail."

As he finished, he seemed to take a mental step back and have a good think over what he'd just said. Whilst he'd certainly been aware of it from the moment he materialized, it was only just now that he really seemed to understand it.
"Honestly, it sounds like a load of bollocks to me."

Sue McCoy

"Hmm? Why? Don't trust in a wish granting artifact? Think the ritual is completely redundant and a dangerous waste of time and life? Consider the format of teams of 7 country destroying heroes teaming up to destroy another team of 7 heroes highly destructive for the sake of obtaining a wish granting Grail? There are plenty of utterly ridiculous things about this ritual in its normal format... this aberration with double the world destroyers is headache inducing" says Sue, suddenly a lot more talkative. Her fear also seemed to subside for a moment as her mind set itself upon a different path to analyze this magical ritual.

"Indeed, I haven't even been able to sit down and try to map why this ritual has 14 Servants and Masters... how that would work, the amount of mana required and how it will produce enough power for the 'wishes'" says Sue, sitting down on the floor, taking out a draw pad to draw a big ? and then 14 heroes and 14 masters hovering all around it. Then she lets out a little sigh "Still... it seems to be as you know, Assassin. We are on a team of Masters who are to be another 'Faction' on this war. In theory, it seems like we'll work together with six other Masters and Servants to obtain the Grail. What it is, how it grants its wishes and how we will all deal with having them granted, those are all big unknowns. However, the prospect of it, the promise of it enough is strong. Strong enough to gather us all and bet it all on this chance"

"Will I have your true support in this endeavor, Assassin? Pragmatically, so long as your wish doesn't affect me terribly, I won't care much for what you wish for"

Long Martino, Day 0 12:00 AM

Long watched in rapt attention as whatever he summoned seemed to possess the sacrifice. So even its material body is non-corporeal. How interesting...

"Indeed I did," the young magus said. "And by all means, go ahead and eat. No need to starve yourself on my account, Berserker. I did arrange this little fiesta especially for you, after all."

Long admired his handiwork. He'd summoned the Berserker class Servant, exactly as planned. It was a great plan too, both because Berserker fit his needs perfectly and because it would always be the last to be summoned, meaning he was in no rush to claim it. Hard to imagine anyone else wanting it, and it was kind of difficult to just coincidentally throw in the additional aria to summon them.

With all that in mind, he'd spent a few days preparing a little dinner party as an experiment. He'd even brought snacks. Rabbits, deer, the occasional father and small child. Long glanced around at the results of his hunting, wining and dining, and felt his Servant would be satisfied with everything he'd prepared for them. Of course he wasn’t sure how many of his victims were still alive after being hunted like dogs and kept locked in the basement for over a week. It would be rather difficult for Berserker to consume their souls if they were already dead. ''Whoops…’'

He kept a close eye on his Servant’s predatory glance as it eyed the food. It was entirely possible it would turn on him at some point. No, in fact it was almost guaranteed. As both a Berserker and a willing accomplice to cannibalism, the odds of it turning on him for no reason at all were extraordinarily high. And while he loved the beast to death already, he wasn’t quite sure his adoration of the creature was worth his life.

‘’After all, there’s still so much science to be done~''

Rider

Rider looked at her Master, puzzled, and like it made the most sense in the world, she said, "Prove you are worthy."

It was one thing for the Grail to tell a Servant what is and isn't appropriate for the modern age. It's up to the Servants to interpret that information, and what some choose to do with it is a bit... different than others. Rider knew that establishing dominance like this was no longer considered an appropriate form of introduction, but in her eyes of her culture the simple tradition was harmless enough. What Rider didn't quite understand was that Samuel would neither find this custom of hers amusing nor worthy of his respect. In fact, he probably wouldn't understand the formality of it at all.

She retained her grip on his wrist. "Are you going to give me a fight at all Master, or are you just going to lie down there like a dead horse?"

Saber of Red, With Sister Astrid — Church

She was a nun so of course there'd be a problem with her saying she'd partake in the 'vices of the modern era'. Did Julie care about that? No, not at all, in fact she'd try to get her new young nun Master to have some fun too. A smile creeped upon her face while she thought about Sister Astrid in the lewdest of situations. In the bath, under the sheets, her pale face contorting in the pleasure of the body. "Hehehe," she giggled. Yeah, it was fun to think about. "I'll think about what I want to, Master, unless you want to use a Command Seal," Julie would rather not be bound by a chain like that in the modern day — even though she's never actually experienced being dominated before. Could be an experience, but not on for a setting like the Holy Grail War. "I'll offer my power in anyway I can," she said while crossing her arms. "You summoned me and have given me new life, the least I can do is offer my power to you."

Rider of Red — Day -1

The runic incantation made the ride even crazier! He boosted up, smiling while enjoying the time to be alive. Wait, he still had to obey those 'traffic law' things, didn't he? Oh well, he continued to drive on regardless.
