Check out the Kickstarter here!

The game aims to retain the strategic elements oft-present in 2D fighting games while lowering the execution requirements that usually drive away new players. Visually, the game takes inspiration from handheld SNK games on the Neo Geo Pocket.

While visually, the game looks highly minimalist, I do really like what it does fundamentally. What are your thoughts?

Execution gets harder even if you make the game easier, no way to avoid that really. People always say "Smash is easier cuz x" but don't realize that as soon as you start learning the game, the more execution is required. Its cool if you want a game people can mess around in and there should be more of those. Just expect that if you wanna get good that execution is gonna seep its way in regardless.

Heh, that's cute. I like how I can tell what they were inspired by :)

But yeah, by nature, Fighting Games are an arms race. What this is trying to do, Skull Girls already did, and look at the scene now. It's minimalist in a sense where it greatly simplifies and declutters the combo system brought on by Darkstalkers and Capcom vs., but its due to that same simplicity that it becomes really unapproachable because those who have kept up with it since its inception are just that damn good.

But I'll support this because labors of love are my favorite.

It's getting an official release for the Switch after all this time.
