So, République. I'm rather impressed by those graphics. It kinda feels like the opening of Metal Gear Solid, but with more drama, and some Watchdogs thrown in, but with more sympathy. Price is also very decent.

There's also the voicework of Jennifer Hale and David Hayter, to boot. Really good voice acting from the other cast members as well, and a bunch of little nods to the Metal Gear Solid series, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex, a bunch of Kickstarter games, and other notable game franchises. The writing's unusually strong for a smartphone game too - but then again, most games on the Apple/Android market are little more than Pay-to-Win pieces of trash, so there's not much strong competition to begin with.

Only major complaint I have aside from the short length of the episodes, is how huge the installation file size is. This sucker is OVER 1.5 GB, and that's with only episodes 1 and 2 installed: by the time the last two come out it will no doubt be over 2 GB! That's a serious issue if your smartphone doesn't have a large memory storage unit or cannot be swapped out.

Really hoping this game succeeds and inspires other developers to take such risks on making high-quality smartphone games, cause Republique is quite the little treasure.

I know the developer. Been doing some back and forth. I never completed the first chapter, been too busy.
