...I don't know how to interpret that so I'm just going to do a quick Google search.
Also, what channel?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Sy Fy. And "guns" in this context is slang for "arm muscles."
I like the worldbuilding so far, with the importance of their symbols and ranks, and the theocratic dictator. It seems like the pilot set up a good show, I just hope they don't overrely on Superman's importance
First episode was surprisingly OK given the bad reviews I was reading before release.
TBH I've stopped caring what critics say, because Critical Dissonance and I know what trash I like
Amen to that.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Ep 2 kept up the momentum, I feel. And hey, the Voice of Rao does talk!
Lyta's fight was surprisingly brutal, which I'm kind of glad for. I like the idea that Kryptons are, if not quite a Proud Warrior Race, then a very militaristic people.
It fits with all the various Kryptonian war machines and tyrannical villains we've seen in the comics and such.

Oh definitely. And it helps explain why a planet noted for scientists apparently didn't believe scientific proof that their planet was doomed.
Though hilariously, this means that between Val El and Jor El the House of El symbol might as well be Kryptonian for Cassandra Truth
What did people think of last night's twist? Because tbh it didn't really hit me the way it seemed to hit others
Next week will be better, given the sneak peek.
I started watching the pilot yesterday and was very quickly bored. The production people did a good job with it and it's obvious they had a lot of money to work with.
The writing just wasn't there. I didn't care about the characters, the world (despite the excellent production) wasn't all that interesting, and the only thing that really piqued my interest was the bit about time travel. That at least answered a question I'd been struggling with of "why does this matter?"
Can anyone tell me if it gets better? I know a lot of times pilots aren't actually a good measure of the quality of a show.
1-3 is set up, and Layta is a pretty interesting character.
I liked the pilot, so I really can't say if it will be to your tastes
Finally caught up to episode 6. I think 7 is coming out tonight.
I definitely like it. Maybe not the best show ever, but good. Like the twist that the time-traveling enemy is Zod, not Brainiac, and Adam has to prevent Zod from saving Kandor. And of course Zod tells Seg a heavily edited version of Superman's personality to make him look terrible.
I keep expecting Adam to break out the yellow sun grenades, like Supergirl used a few times. Doubly so now that Zod is around. He definitely has something like that stashed away.

Damn, the HSQ of the finale was through the roof.
Did anyone else expect Seg to sacrifice himself to take down Brainiac only for Zod to rule Kandor? And does the change in Superman's cape mean Lyta's going to adopt Cor-Vex?
Also, I'm operating under the assumption that Cor-Vex will get a name change to Jor at some point...
...it's already at the finale? I've lost track of the time. I only caught the first episode. And heard about Doomsday showing up.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It's a 10 episode long series. The first 3 are worldbuilding, the rest is a break neck paced plot.
One of the showrunners explained that the ending was meant to convey the idea that Brainiac eventually escaped the Phantom Zone and bottled one of Earth's cities after destroying it, before going on with his usual MO against the rest of the galaxy. Presumably because Superman wasn't around to stop him, thus vindicating what Strange said.
“It just felt like it would be wrong to have the real Brainiac show up as late in the game as he did, and then to be beaten by our guys,” says Welsh. “It just wouldn’t ring true; I think it would diminish the character of Brainiac and his true power. But we thought it was never gonna end in victory, and I think one of the other things we wanted to do was to really make clear that the timeline really has changed: Kandor didn’t get taken, the events we established and repeated across the season — the course of events that lead to Krypton’s destruction and ultimately to the birth of Superman — those events have passed now, and so we’re very much on a different timeline.

Caught up with the series pretty late and finished it now. I gotta say, the special effects, costumes etc are the BEST out of any superhero show period imO. Looks like straight out of a movie.
As for the series, I was positively surprised, as it is not just a prequel, but has a time travel ankle to it with a lot of possibilities for future seasons.
As for the characters, all were pretty good, though I gotta say at the end of the Season I hated every one of the 3 Zods, for different reasons each.
My favorite character was Kem.

Aaa, the season 2 opener was pretty good. Also, I bet Brainiac is still alive either in the sunstone or in Seg
Man, Lyta really knows how to become a hated character, eh?
Good episode though.

First episode's on now. Seems fairly paint by numbers, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Alura's got some guns on her, I will say that.
