Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, 8:00 PM

Vincent sighed, as he found himself standing at the door of Freddy Fazbear's. A sign, reading 'Grand Re-Opening!', hung halfway off of the pizzeria's nondescript exterior, with a couple balloons and a lot of confetti covering the ground. The ceremony had been big and flashy, obviously, but few had attended. Perhaps that was why a couple half eaten pizza's were currently filling a trashcan nearby, a swarm of flies buzzing about.

The man standing at the door right now made note of ALL of this. Already he felt himself making connections, out of thin air seemingly. Maybe this was just a cover... I wonder what had been going on inside? Maybe they were trying to clean up another murder scene or somethin

He fiddled with the camera about his neck, and took two photographs. They came out of the camera, old Polaroid images that took a second to develop. The flash illuminated the area, as the sun was just now below the horizon. He tucked the pictures into his coat pocket, and pulled out a keyring. He straightened up his cap, "SECURITY" in big white letters. The cap itself was a worn-out forest green. He unlocked the door and opened it up.

The glass door swung open with a loud creak, obnoxiously loud. It echoed throughout the building and the surrounding area. Vincent looked around, warily. "Damn... couldn't even bother to oil the hinges?" He snorted with derision as he stepped inside and turned on the lights.

"Doubt that's the only thing that ain't right here..."

Leah had helped close out opening day with an energetic performance, and was still seated at the piano in the corner of the dining hall. She was still clad in her green sequined dress, though its shine had been dulled by the darkness. Currently in an intermediary rest mode, between daytime performing and nighttime roaming, she remained motionless in her seat, her head tilted in the direction of the stage as if listening to Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica. Her hands were positioned over the piano keys, looking ready to launch into another piece.

As Vincent entered the dining hall, Leah's stillness was briefly and suddenly broken. One hand shifted slightly downward, producing a discordant set of notes from the piano. The animatronic wasn't capable of genuinely playing the piano, of course; her fingers weren't nearly dextrous enough to do so. Normally the piano was set up to play itself while Leah simply mimed along with the recording. This time, however, there was no recording. Not much in the way of tune either, just one brief hit. It could have been anything, really...

"I should have been a stripper..." The blonde haired technician exclaimed in exasperation to the empty, felt and metal faces around her as she took in the disarray she would have to deal with tonight. Spare body parts and coverings for the animatronics were strewn all about the dingy workshop but at least the empty and ear-less heads of the restaurants 'stars' were still on the shelves for the most part. Brownish stains were everywhere and the stench was overwhelming. Madeline Malherbe, or Mads as she preferred, speculated that the previous night technician had gotten a little over plastered for a personal farewell party. Or hoped that was the case, at least.

The management had said he quit the night before opening for whatever reason, leaving her to deal with the mess. Mads sighed and pulled the issued techician's shirt over her Black Sabbath T without bothering to button it up, "Alright, let's see what you guys need then..." She sighed. The long table in the centre of the workshop was clear aside from one of Freddy's exceedingly creepy spare faces and a hand freed from one of the endoskeletons resting on a note:

Fingers have been dis-jointed and damaged

Please repair by tomorrow morning and return to spare frame

Have fun!

-Management

Mads carefully picked up the appendage and looked over its exposed, clawed fingers with distaste - there were a few spots of red. "Please be wine."

Vincent looked up and directly at the piano. His eyes locked on the animatronic seated there, and would have burned a hole in the wall with the intensity of his staring.

He began to walk towards her, looking appraisingly at the whole area she presided over., cautious as she made the haunting and disjointed tune. "Hm... Leah the Lioness..." He said, circling the animatronic. "Lemme see... part of the band, part of the band... exhibited much of the same behavior as the rest of the animatronics... and apparently sucks at playing piano..." He began taking pictures, quite a few, and stuffed them in his pocket. The flash kept going off, repeatedly, as he scrutinized EVERYTHING in detail. "What exactly that behavior was... I intend to discover!"

He swiveled on his heel as he heard a voice, and cautiously made his way to the technicians room. Absolutely silent, he stepped to the door and peeked in. Ah, damn it all! he thought as he saw Mads. I forgot there where other people here... As she silently assessed the suspicious red stain, though, he decided he needed to get a closer look. He stepped in, knocking on the door as he looked around at the various costumes and skeletons.

"Yo yo... you the new night tech? I'm Vincent... one of the Night Watch guys..." He stepped towards her, hands in pockets as he continued to look at all the machinery. "You?"

Mads nearly jumped out of her skin as a voice came from behind her, swiveling around and takinga step back into the table before registering the speaker as human, "Sweet, buttery Jesus, guy..." She sighed, shaking her head and trying to breath calmly again - this place had creeped her out since she was a kid and no amount of Black Metal and horror movies could take away her nervousness to be here, "Not a great idea sneaking up on me at this hour..."

Madeline looked over the nightwatchman and his camera, holding the animatronic hand carefully to her chest, "Well, nice to meet you Vincent. Unfortunately, I am the newbie tech - Call me Mads." She smiled, regaining composure and walking up to the man. She extended a hand to shake his then realised she was still holding the clawed metal one and promptly replaced it with her own, "Been here long? Any interesting happy-snaps?" The technician pointed to the camera at his neck, curious if nothing else.

Vincent shied away from the woman, named Mads. He put a hand down to shake, the other one going to his camera. Possible spy. be cautious. He nodded and let himself investigate her. She didn't seem threatening or anything... but wasn't it unusual that she'd ask about his camera. But he played it cool.

"Nah." He replied simply, patting the old camera. "But you never know. This place is creepy, right? Never know what might come out and getcha." He smiled awkwardly. "And um, sorry 'bout frightening ya."

Vincent seemed to be a bit shy, Madeline decided, and had an odd look to his eyes that didn't really bode well for his sanity. Nevertheless, he didn't seem particularly unfriendly if a little overprotective of the camera - maybe he was an amateur photo enthusiast. "It's okay - this place has always given me the willies anyhow. Even before the renovations... Hell, especially then." Mads smiled, looking briefly to the spare heads. "Creepy is an understatement. But good fuel for art, eh?" She quite liked drawing and had a few scraps of paper for sketches tucked in her back pocket for the inevitable boredom.

"I think there's a few other watchmen kicking about somewhere... Are you on your first day too?" Mads inquired, picking up some nearby debris and placing it in a neat pile on the table. "The last techie must have had a damn good party... I have no idea where the puke is but it's making my eyes water, ick."

Vincent crinkled his nose, but not because of the puke (but it smelled terrible. It was because he was beginning to feel a little tense. This girl asked a lot of questions... and that made him suspicious. Yet he tried to remain friendly; making enemies or blowing his cover would not bode well for his probe.

"Oh yeah. Damn that reeks." He said, attempting an awkward lean on the doorway. "Yeah, it's my first day. But I haven't seen the other night watch people yet. Guess they're just not excited for their first day on the job..." He chuckled nervously as he fiddled with his camera.

"So... Mads. If this place creeps you out so much, why would you take a menial labor job here? Seems a bit... counter-intuitive to me."

"Money." Mads shrugged and then chuckled slightly, this guy was definitely a weird one from his mannerisms if nothing else - she wasn't sure if it was in a good way or not. "It's not good money, mind you. But I got fired from my last job for... issues with the boss. I needed money to survive while I finished my engineering course." The technician busied her hands sorting a few odds and ends, then tried to find an appropriate draw for them. "Plus, there no positions available at the local strip club. Wish I was kidding about knowing that." She smirked, continuing to pick what ever parts that still worked off the floor. "Why'd you get into security here? Fan of Freddy's or...?"

Keats sat in the driver seat, he was parked on the corner, looking at the the front door to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He had decided to wait until the gaurd had left, the other one was not amused with his questions, didn't think this one would either. Keats looked at the clock, He was going to wait it out, but if he could make it...whoo. He leaned back. Just had to wait another hour.

Okay, Vincent was internally panicking. "Oh, you know... need some extra spending money, and I'm usually up all night anyways... I actually never came here as a kid." He said, trying his ABSOLUTE HARDEST not to let his anxiety show. "Kinda glad I did... this place must traumatize kids."

He exhaled and strolled over to the table, looking at everything. "But engineering? That's pretty great. I had you pegged for a smart one... somebody who knows stuff." He smiled, almost genuinely. "Definitely to good for a strip club, honestly."

Max was left sitting in one of the corners of the kitchen with his freezer left open by a careless employee. As the lights were turned off he began shift slightly, moving only enough to cause the freezer to slam shut with a bang that echoed through the room.

"Well, I never had much choice in the matter - I grew up around here and my friends sadly didn't find it nearly foreboding enough." Mads commented when Vincent mentioned Freddy's less than charming atmosphere, waving the metal hand to illustrate her point. She moved over a little as he approached the table and began to look over the broken hand properly, smirking a little when the watchman complemented her for being smarter than a stripper, "Hah, thanks I suppose. Whether I'm good or not at engineering is another matter, mind you." Madeline grinned to him before looking back to her work.

From what she could tell it was mostly the joints and, to a lesser extent, some of the surrounding structures that had bung the hand. Something must have been pushing or pulling pretty damn hard on the thing, maybe while the hand was 'clenching'. Either way, with a bit of tightening and straightening with a hammer it would be in working order, "Hmm, someone or something gave this a good thrashing I think. I wish the last technician bothered to leave a few more hints about these buggers - I've been given a basic run down but I'll have to see if there's a manual or something." Mads sighed, looking Vincent over again, "So, are you from around here? I don't think I've seen you about town before... or are you just a creature of then night?"

Good GOD, she's asking so many questions! She's obviously a plant from to keep an eye on me! He exhaled as he looked over to Mads and gave a soft smile. Stay cool, stay cool. Just answer her.

"Well... I am from around here, actually. I just prefer... the indoors.." He gave another nervous chuckle. "Apparently, guys like myself don't do well in society. But that's beside the point." He surveyed the room again in livid detail, but the only way he'd remember anything is if he actually took a photo. He'd play it off. He'd try at least.

He held the camera up and smiled at Mads again. "May I take a picture of you? The lighting in here is actually pretty good... makes you look quite... pretty. I dunno, does that seem creepy? I get told that it's creepy." He scratched his head idly. "S'alright if you don't, but I'm working on a project, and I think this would make a great addition to it."

This job was already starting to get on Jim's nerves. He checked the animatronics but there was no trace of someone having tinkered with them. In fact, the machines looked like they never had any problems. His employer told him that the managers of this place never replaced these things. Did he lie to him? Are the technicians of this place freakily hyper-competent? And what did he mean when he said that J Im would understand "when night come"?

His thoughts where interrupted when i saw two people talking: a man that seemed to a night guard and a woman that seemed to be a technician. He decided to introduce myself. "Hello , mister and miss. John Corny, health inspector. Might i know your names?"

Leah's ears swiveled in the direction of the kitchen as the banging was heard. Someone was getting a bit of an early start, it seemed. Well, that was one of the rejected ones. They didn't quite follow the rules as well as she did. Six hours of relative freedom a night... that was all she had to work with. Though it was how they were made, Leah was already beginning to find it unfair. Leaving them stuck in a place like this while they went to their comfortable homes? It made her wonder if the humans really understood what they had made. Well, if they didn't understand now... they would, in time.

Then Leah tilted her head to one side and blinked, and such thoughts were, for now, forgotten. It wasn't quite time yet. For now, she wondered what Max was doing in there.

Vincent suddenly swiveled around, forgetting the picture for now. "Did you here that...? Somebody here? This place got fuckin' rats...?" He looked back at her, a paranoid look to his eyes. "Hold on a minute. I wanna check something." He stepped out and walked into the main room again, this time going straight up to Leah, inquisitive. He surveyed the area for any disturbances.

Up on the stage, Freddy's head slowly turned in the direction of the human and the piano. Bonnie and Chica followed suit. There eyes were shut, but it seemed as though they were staring. Vincent remained oblivious, as he looked Leah over. "Huh. Was that you, that noise? Decided you needed some percussion to go along with the piano?" He looked in the direction of the kitchen a moment, before going to the door and opening it up all the way. He went back to his previous position, unaware that the animatronics on stage were silently watching. "Yo, Mads?" He yelled. "I think you should check out these animatronics! Might be a glitch in the system or something!"

Somehow Madeline wasn't surprized to hear that Vincent preferred the indoors but held her tongue on that matter - she wasn't exactly a socialite in her youth, either, and her studies kept that from changing too noticeably these days.

Something about his eyes didn't seem to match his more reassuring expressions but decided he was just the wild eyed type, "Hey, society can go suck a fat one, Vinnie..." Mads smiled, her expression turning to one of bemusement and slight confusion when he stated he wanted her photograph. It made her a little suspicious but mostly because guys who called her pretty generally just wanted to get into her pants.

"Honestly, I've been asked way creepier questions by guys... As long as the clothes stay on, sure!" Madeline joked with a wink when another man wandering into the workshop, apparently not an employee. She straightened herself a little, hoping that he wouldn't mind the smell, "Ah, hello! I'm Madeline and that's Vincent... Aren't you supposed to show an ID or something?" She tried not to be nervous but didn't particularly feel like getting fired for pissing off the health inspector tonight. She also really wished Vincent hadn't suggested there might be rats, "Sorry about the smell, I last guy -"

Her voice trailed off as her new friend called her over about glitches, "What kind of glitch?" She called back, scrambling around momentarily for a tool box and giving an apologetic look to the health inspector before coming to Vincent's side, "What's up?" Mads took a step towards the animatronics and noticed they had changed position since she came in, "Huh, that's odd. I was told during the night they sometimes move... Some sort of 'free roam mode'. Sounds like a waste of electricity but, well, I really do need to find that manual."

Dan Abbott got out of his 4-year old car and walked up to the front of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in the dim lighting of the familiar neon-lit sign. He checked if his phone was still working. "96% battery, check, that'll be good for 3 or 4 hours. Well, here goes nothing. Maybe a picture or two will suffice. Hell, maybe I'll get in the papers!" He laughed, turned off the Wi-Fi as he wouldn't need it, put the phone back in his backpack, and touched the door lightly with his hand. When he saw it was unlocked, he opened it slowly, making a low-sounding creaking noise and stepped into the front of the restaurant. He breathed heavily for a moment as the door shut behind him.

Dan Abbott walked around the front of the restaurant, moving a chair every now and then, glaring up at the menu once or twice, when he saw the front of the restaurant, which is where the animatronics would be, if it was still day time. He didn't notice stairs, so he stepped up, one leg after the-THUMP...SMASH!

Dan lost his footing as the loud noise echoed through the back of the restaurant and tripped over mid-step, tripping onto the stage. "Ouch..." he groaned, getting back up. Noticing the microphone was unplugged, he came to a conclusion that this room would be useless and headed over the cashier's counter, carefully stepped over and headed to the back of the pizzeria, before stopping. "I've played too many point and click adventures for my own good..." he grumbled, went back and grabbed some spare condiments from the back of the counter finally heading through the door that separated the restaurant from the back rooms.
