A copy of Eri would definitely be a great twist to the arc. It would crush Mirio though.
Reaction Image RepositoryDoes Twice have to be near the things he's copying when he copies them? I can't remember offhand, and if he does Eri would be able to tell there's another her.
It's the awareness of the double that matters, here.
Unless they gave him the drug his copy limit is accounted for.
Even then, while they don't know Shigaraki's exact plans, they know they're not there to actually help. They would find some way to ruin an Eri switcheroo plan.
What exactly did Mirio do with his Phantom Menace attack?
I'm still a little confused as to what went down.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He obviously bogged them down with boring politics, stilted wooden acting, and then asked yousa people gunna die? all in the course of a few seconds.
A diabolical attack.
One Strip! One Strip!I think he was pinballing around with his power; taking advantage of how fast he gets shot out, then quickly re-positioning himself over and over again.
I wonder how Shin got it in his head he was special because I'm sure as hell that Overhaul didn't actually tell him that.

Possibly he mistakenly believes that Overhaul knows how to properly value minions with useful abilities.
Was Chronostasis counted as one of the Eight Bullets? If not he may think that alone gives him more value and it's in Overhaul's interest not to correct him.
Chrono and Mimic are not, they have actual job titles. Whereas Shin went "I'm a part of this group deemed expendable, but I'm actually not considered expendable!"

He has a point though. Having a lie-detector quirk is valuable as fuck.
Though that shows how much an uncaring arrogant bastard Overhaul is.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh, my mistake. I was thinking Shin was Chronostasis.
The point has been made than non of the Eight Expendables would really be considered expendable by anyone with actual tactical know-how. But apparently Overhaul's lack of compassion is considered a good thing even when it defies basic logic.
And that's not even just in regards to these guys but how he casually kills anyone who makes a mistake.

Well at least he values Rappa enough that he doesn't mind the multiple attempts on his life.
Ya think he'd just kill him permanently if he's really supposed to be expendable.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Makes me think now if we're seeing a Strategy Versus Tactics difference between Overhaul and Shigaraki.
Possibly. He seems convinced that as long as he himself, Eri, the completed product, and their bedridden boss are around, they can always rebuild the Eight Precepts into something even better.
With that in mind it makes a bit of sense why he'd be willing to throw everything else away. Still, optics doesn't seem to be something he neither understands nor cares to understand.

He is most likely going to complete the serum.
It be the perfect released game-changer for this arc to end on.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Honestly it makes sense for Oerhaul to be so callous about this, as his goal is to restore Yakuza back into the world with Eri's quirk as the means of removing superheroes so the Yakuza can once again have their fantasy of not being corrupt criminals.
And Shin was with Overhaul as we see while the other Expendables were not, so his claim probably is valid. Even his response was to finish Mirio quick to return to Overhauls side while the rest serve as a distraction. And the drunk never refutes what he's saying.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I mean "the drunk guy didn't refute it" doesn't exactly inspire confidence of accuracy.
You'd think he'd let it slip and laugh at the idea, which I'm used to in these situations with people being drunk and saying things they shouldn't.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I feel like the most validating thing would be that he apparently knows Overhaul's plan in full, and with his power that actually doesn't even mean much.
People have often said that Shinso would make a good interrogator but this guy seems like he was made for that. Not that either of them would actually be allowed to use it though. The cops aren't supposed to use their Quirks and people would probably scream about rights being violated if either were actually in the position to do so.

Like that guy he wasted when Eri ran away. Or how the other guy he put in charge of her thought that Overhaul would blow him up if she doesn't take to him.
You could say that's just because of how important she is to the plans, but during the raid some captured members basically said that's how he handles failure in general. His men expect it from him. It's probably part of the reason most of them aren't actually sold on him as their leader.

Because the discussion reminded me of it, Squirrel Girl on knowing which one is the clone and which is the original.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Do the copies know they're copies? That was the whole deal with Twice's trauma after all.
