So uh... when I said ideally Hosu would have two dozen spears prepped by the time the fire nation reached engagement range, I wrote that under the assumption it would take them like five maybe ten minutes tops, not forty. I'm half tempted to claim 12 dozen spears get made instead but that's somewhat excessive. So going to stick to that two dozen.
I don't know much about naval engagements is what I'm saying.
Click Click Boom Boom@Kosjurake: He was short on time anyway since Sharif told him to go down to the stern and stop making spears. Two dozen is enough, anyway.
A lot of people don't seem to have noticed the forty minute time skip...
I was in a rush to actually be of use, and skimmed over most of the posts after the one where the fire nation ship attacked. So if there was ever a timeskip, sorry for not noticing.
Actually, when was there a 40 minute timeskip? your last post is basically 'oh yeah we can only run away from the advancing ship' as if it's still a new thing. Is there something I'm missing here?

two or three posts ago, there was a 40 minute timeskip
Speaking of, are they within sniping distance now?
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Well, I just assumed Choden stood around, watching everyone do their jobs before being ordered to move. Added a little piece saying that.
Very barely within sniping distance.

Well then I'm dumb. I'll probably fix the post tomorrow.
maybe
I'm not sure if the Fire Nation steamer is in close enough range to use a short-range attack. Mizuki only ordered the attack because the Sea Dragon was in an ideal range where the projectiles from the ship could hit the crew without fear of being burned at close range.
EDIT: Never mind, I can work with it.

In my defense, one to two hundred feet is short-range for a catapult. That being said, I should have asked permission beforehand. I'll try and do better in the future.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving. -Lao TzuAlright, so. Most of you might be wondering why, apart from some discussion posts in some threads, I haven't been posting much, and I can explain. As some of you know, I am a working man. I've been working on this company for a long time, and although I like the people here, it's not what I've always wanted to work with. Fortunately, that will change next year. I'm finally going to have my dream job— well, the closest to my dream job. I'm withholding some details because I'm really prissy about privacy, but this I will say: I'm gonna have to move to a new country for this job.
This new job is going to be a new page in my life. New country, new people, new me, I guess you might say. Put behind some of the personal and financial woes that have plagued my life up until now. And you guys are wondering why I'm telling this to all of you with such a somber tone. That's because, truth be said, I do not know if I'll be able to keep on posting on Tropes.
Some of you might understand, some of you might not. Is it because life in this new country will require my full attention? Yes, of course. But it's also because I want to have a life outside the internet. Ever since I joined Tropes, I've met wonderful people, expanded my horizons and did some amazing things. But I've also stopped going out a lot, and I've developed what you might call an internet addiction. It cost me a few friends, to say the least. I went through this a lot, in my high school years, and while things aren't as bad as they were back then, they're not good.
In conclusion, and it really hurts me to say this, once 2015 hits I'll be dropping out of all R Ps I'm currently in. I'll still be popping in the discussion threads here and there, probably. What does this mean for Xue: I'll be handing him off to the GM, or anyone who wants to play them.
That'll be all. I'll be making posts tonight. Let's make these last two months kickass.
For this roleplay, I have a fixed policy of players not playing more than one PC. When you do leave the roleplay after two months, you can write Xue out of the story when the crew touches port somewhere. Or I'll write him out myself, if you want to leave Xue in the GM's hands instead.
I can understand it if you need to move on from TV Tropes or online Play-by-Post roleplays. While these can be fun, real life does take precedence, and that's why I also make a point to limit my involvement in online interactions with others, as well as not dragging this roleplay on for longer than a few months.
That said, you know best what's right for you, and I wish you all the best with your dream job.
Unsure of what to post. Choden is basically just watching everything with a bit of fear and a bit of excitement.
Just making it clear that I want the Stormblade to survive the encounter and retreat back to the Fire Nation.
Lets assume Katsu is not fully remembering which of the waterbenders can heal too :P
"You can reply to this Message!"Yeah poor Mizuki can't catch a break. First Sharif is thinking of waking her for a bit of the old diplomacy, then Katsu wants a healer on hand. Everyone wants some of Mizuki's expertise.
I'd offer Katsu to learn some healing too at a later level up, but sadly Fire only gets you spirit healing, not body healing :P
At least extrapolating from Korra (and I kinda like the idea that Fire, the opposite of water, has a more opposite form of healing too. Water Benders are the Doctors and Surgeons, Fire Benders can be the Trauma-Psychiatrists)

"You can reply to this Message!"I'm sure lanyin could whip up some painkillers
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"That sort of healing may be what Shouren needs.

Well unless we run into a convenient Fire Sage who can teach Katsu a bit...
"You can reply to this Message!"I haven't seen Scorpio Rat or Truth Hurts 22 around lately.
I got a message from Scorpio Rat, and Scorpio Rat dropped out of the roleplay. I can take Prithvi along to earthbend the tunnel if Truth Hurts 22 isn't around, and then I'll probably write Prithvi out afterwards.
Truth Hurts 22 got back to me, and told me Truth pulled out.
I will write out Sohan at some stage. Prithvi will accompany Heiyaoshi to the headquarters, and leave once business is done.
Let me make this clear for all of you: if you are going to pull out, let us know. It does none of the other players good to leave us hanging, waiting for a character to react or respond without knowing no one's home.
Now, in order to keep this roleplay alive, we will need fresh blood. So I intend to make the Sea Dragon Gang a revolving line up where various outcasts come and go.

I'm still here, just a bit of a headcold just saying.
"You can reply to this Message!"
Sorry, I've edited it now
