Soooo... We really need to set up lines and roles right now, cause the entire battle is a goddamn clusterfuck and so we can plan out stuff even without Grim around.

First thing's first: Who gets to have control over the NPC's and assorted soldiers on each side?

Yeah, that's kinda why I stopped posting. I started to post about how Wil looked on in both grim amusement and utter horror as the A.A. guns started firing at his bombers while they were engaged with Nick's fighters and standard blanche air-units, which would cause fucking massive amounts of friendly fire and basically do Wil's job for him, but I didn't want to piss off Dalt, even though that is a realistic consequence for his/her post about the A.A. guns doing so.

Short version, the defender of any battle has the advantage, because they're the only one who can say whether the attacker's plans work or not unless the attacker resorts to godmodding/godmoding/however the frak you spell that, I've seen it both ways. And all the defender has to do is go "nope.jpg"

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.

You mean exactly like how you implicitly let Daltar do by not posting it? Just as with Nick, make them accept the consequences, bro. Post that shit.

I agree with Taco, punish the players for screwing up. Heck the Noire soldiers are experiencing some friendly fire of their won, with artillery strikes hitting very close to their positions since they're taking aim at the enemy Mecha.

I know, and if this were my RP, I'd have slapped them in the face with it. But it's Grim's, so I don't have that sort of authority unless the Blanche say "go for it."

Accounted for missing out on some hits, The Shrike has now been hit here, knocking out basic utilities and punching some holes in the hull and also scaring the fuck out of Bryant. We still good, I guess that makes me and Nick one for one on not paying enough attention.

Thing is that it works both sides. Like how Taco has been ignoring Nick the Swing's attacks for a while now, even opening up his hatch to taunt at the Blanche Soldiers while he also now has Fayth going after him.

And the friendly fire of the AA guns assumes the technology can't accurately hit the bombers while avoiding the friendlies flying even though I specified that the two forces are in contact and cooperating on taking them down. Then again, that's also my assumption that my future AA is accurate and bombers are slow which I'm basically making up as I wrote that post. That's without mentioning how the bombers were given leeway to just cross the entire battlefield, our controlled air space, to use Nick's ship as a sort of shield to bypass our AA and get onto the city?

See it's a problem we got on both sides. We say our plans and just go, this will go perfectly while the other side sees the action and takes it to turn out in the worst way possibly.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

I'll try and get Grim to be more proactive about this. That is if that asshole lets me inside his house...

Yeah, with everyone saying something is happening then ignoring something else and such... It's definitely contributing to the confusion apart from everything else.

Hopefully things will start running smoother soon.
