Episode 23: Well I wasn't expecting Kaiser to die although I think this will only add to the theory that El will reserect so that he can heal him. Overall there was some nice action this episode but, was it just me or did there seem to be a dip in the animation quality at times?

I don't know about that. While it was definitely more low-key than the first season, this final episode (and the season as a whole) was still entertaining and the ultimate ending was actually quite sweet with the blind king and the mute dragon girl dancing together. Things were left open for a third season as well, which is always good.

That Zombie pair at the end made me chuckle.
This finale kind of fizzled out, but man am I sad about Kaisar dying. Though he did get to become a zombie, which was probably the only way Rita was ever going to tie him to her.
