He's been in an enchanted sleep for quite a while and has only recently awakened and re-subjugated the kobolds.
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?Luckily, the general time period for this war is pretty flexible at the moment, and I'm very willing to push back by a good hunk of time if needed. And like I said, the land once controlled by my dragon would most likely have much of it taken over by whoever wanted it, so if you don't mind your volcano being an island one, those Kobolds and your dragon can appropriate one of the southern-most volcanos.
That's fine with me. I've envisioned Pehi as the sort who sort of has the ability to arbitrarily show up unannounced on almost any of her peer's doorsteps because of the expansiveness of her realm. Sort of like a ghost, which is after all her domain.
Now she's the sort who's definitely interacted with pretty much everyone at some point prior to the RP to some extent (even Kruach per-hibernation, as she would have been active before he went into the depths) but not really ended up being a 'friend' per say due to her really strange and obtuse nature. She may have even actively been antagonistic to them. It would be interesting if some of her peers only know one side of her due to circumstance, having never seen the fact that she's all over the place on the scale of morality and not bothered to check history to confirm or deny that fact. I'd like to say no one is old enough to actually potentially remember her as a mortal dragon except maybe Thirturas (even the other ancients weren't born until she was already becoming the withered pile of bones she is today), but I could change that.
Also as a hilarious and or dramatic side note, if any of the dragons took a mate or had a mortal friend or attendant at any point and subsequently lost them she might have them as part of her hoard.

♌IF that happens, then Wen Yuen would annoy ol Pehi to give her dolls back to her. With this face :<
Also, I kinda have this idea that the Empire is multicultural, with the central part being the English inspired, the mountainous area nordic inspired and the east side Asian inspired. This will show just how widely spanned the Adilasan Empire is and allow us to play around with the puny lesser being's culture a little bit.

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Let's go with that.
But seriously, just got in from work, so feel free to shoot any questions my way in the mean time.
A different side would be better off being Asian. I had figured my own stretch of the East was rather European (what with the hobbits taking the role of the barbarian tribes that pestered the Roman Empires during the fifth century). The other thing is I don't know much and am not too interested in ancient Asian cultures, so that would be a bit boring for me to have to incorporate. (I prefer Hellenic, Roman, and Egyptian history over far-Eastern history)
Also considering Kun Wen Yuen's name, I'd think where she is would be the best choice for residing in "Asia".

Sounds good, unless we have any objections.
I've always loved the Eastern concepts of dragons more than the Western, and I tend to have a slight bias towards Russian and some Asian mythologies.
On a different note, though, it seems that my dragon liked to play around with the gene pool of her subjects. She's gonna be pissed when she gets herself free and finds out all of her experiments pretty much got tossed up during her absence.
Huh. Apparently bronze colored nautical dragons that control fog and sometimes take over towns are totally A Thing in D&D. I really had no idea. Nothing new under the sun, I guess...
Yeah, that sounds good.
Also, it doesn't need to be strictly accurate to Asian cultures. This is an original world, we can make stuff up. Hell, we could make a Wu Tang Clan originating in those Asian area if we can
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Hey, just a heads-up: I just picked up Destiny on PS 4(ID: Ghoul88) so I probably won't be terribly available today.
RP is still planned to start tomorrow though, unless anyone would like more time. In any event, let me know anything you want or don't want in the opening. If you want certain places, people, or things elaborated on, and if youare looking for certain hooks out-of-the-gate. I'm happy to come up with it all myself, based on what we've already discussed, but if you want anymore input, now's the time to start letting me know.
I think Nman and I have pretty much agreed that our two dragons are going to be in the same general region (Far East, with mine being to the North-East on the coast).
Do we have anything else laid out thus far on dragon positions beyond the general lair descriptions?
East side 4 life
Also is everyone still around? It seems like there's some people who signed up but never posted here in the discussion. If we've already got drops, it'd be easier to deal with them now before we even start, especially since some people not even in the game are much more active here (*Stares at Naomi* ) and would probably be easy to swap in.
You can swap my spot with somebody. Don't think my interest is strong enough to be a dedicated and motivated poster.
♌Well, that didn't take long...
Gotta get these things out of the way, right? Better it happen now than later. Have fun folks.
♌Shame. Pehi had a lot of story potential.

The way I've got it down so far, though, is that she's kind of stuck in a block of ice of her own creation—while in her human form, I might add—that no mortal's been able to thaw since they discovered it a good few thousand years ago. Good way to bring her in wherever there might be action. Figure somebody would've bought or otherwise acquired this mysterious Ice Girl from her original spot from the coasts of her homeland.
Dang, that could've been fun to see.
How about the block of ice was kept in the middle of a certain blood mountain and the faint residual magic it emitted was used to provide a trickle of power to a seal between universes?
Alright, well, I crossed Pehi off the list on the front page, then. She's still present, just listed as "Dropped out" with a line through everything and moved to the bottom of the post.
The ice orb-thing was a last-ditch effort for survival after she barely won the war, like some super-hibernation until she absorbed enough energy or—spoilers—a fair amount of dragon fire was used against it to come back with enough power to defend herself.
Having said energy being stolen for some seal would definitely explain why it's taken her all that time getting out of that state. All that progress she made in the first few thousands years being dented by being a seal powerhouse. And since I'm considering her wearing some kind of magical necklace/amulet, that could probably be giving it energy too.

Well, now that Bass have dropped off, which dragon will lead the RP then?
Also, dungeonguy, tell us how good Destiny is once you're done with it, alright?
http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Did we ever work out exactly where Klovengaar is compared to the others?
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Will you make a contract with me?It's up to you, we have not fully define the map yet, it's your dragon after all.

If you wanna inhabit one of those volcanos, he would either have to have been doing it secretly the whole time, or this was a more recent move in the last, say, 8-10 thousand years..?
