Considering that Dreamland 64 goes for $1.99 US for one game's download and $2.99 US for both, yeah, probably.

There's also bound to be a slightly discounted bundle as always.

I might be able to get both N64 stages without having to "Pay remainder with card".

Ah, now those have the hallmarks of reality.

The Dr. Mario stage is nothing but a medical sham.

I suppose I can't prove this now, but my first thought when I saw that is "Aren't those the trophy models for the viruses?"

But it looked good, so I bought it a bit, I admit.

And oh no, will we ever be able to trust leaks from unconfirmed sources again? My faith in humanity is shattered.

I don't know about you guys, but I've had it up to here with these fake "leaks". They seem to come out near constantly and quite a few of them are either blatantly fake or poorly done. Ugh...

If you ask me, he only good fake leak was the Rayman incident earlier this year.

Fake leaks are nothing new for gaming. They happen all the time, nothing anyone can do about it.

Damn, that actually looked real good too. Standard main platform, giant pills for additional platforms, the viruses laughing from the back, a giant game of Dr Mario as the background....it seemed to match Sakurai's current stage design philosophy pretty well.

So I'm just gonna have to be skeptical over every little thing now. Shit, that ain't fun, man.

Takes place in a big ol' pill bottle into which pills and viruses fall to make platforms? A bottle that's big enough for side blowouts to still happen?

If you've been following the vanilla Smash thread, you probably know that rumors are going around that Professor Layton is the latest rumored character to be in Smash.

Neogaf yammers about it here, along with more info.

I'm taking this with a record-sized grain of salt, but if the good Professor is indeed coming to Smash, well, fantastic!

That'll be a weird moveset.

If he is in, the actor can't actually tell us the facts. Under NDA and all. Likewise, IMDB can be edited by anyone, so...

Might as well ignore it. No real evidence that helps.

Not so fast, because it's not the amiibo thing that's causing the stir right now.

Unfortunately, I don't have all the information or resources to know what the whole story is, but I know there's been more than just the fake amiibo thing.

Interesting food for thought. Don't believe it myself, though (although we DO know Yacht Club's "megaton announcement" is gonna be Nintendo based...)

Trusted sources in the gaming community get wrong information sometimes. I'm taking this all with a grain of salt until something more concrete than "this trustworthy guy said so"

Yeah, that's a good stance I think. This guy I believe has been wrong a time or two before.

Okay, if there is any thing that could possibly give you reason to give this idea a passing thought, it'd be a statement Yacht Club made around the time the Battletoads content got added to the XBONE version of Shovel Knight. Namely that they were working on something for Nintendo players (the only consoles not to have an exclusive boss), and that it might not be what we expect.

Granted, that could still mean damn near anything, and it was said while talking about the Shovel Knight game itself. So, you know, still not a lot to go on or expect.

If this turns out to be true, this needs to play in Shovel Knight's reveal trailer.
