Pokemon: Prism

-Trish frowns at Alex-

Trish: That wasn't very nice of you.

"You saw him Trish! He was gonn make a run for it."

Toby: (Ok, I dunno why I thought that'd beat it.) Quick kick it again!

-Guts never liked getting knocked down. This time was no different. He quickly admistered another Low Kick-

The Rattata is kicked in the face and is knocked unconscious.

"Good job kiddo, you managed to kick a rat into submission."

-Trish crosses her arms-

Trish: You probably made him want to leave more...

-Toby could hear them talking, but wasn't really listening. Instead he was focused on Guts who was doing a little dance to celebrate his win. That's when he realized. something he hadn't in the years he'd known his friend.-

Toby: Well I guess this means we're both gonna do that gym challenge too. (Ugh and head back to Pewter City too)

-Trish smiles brightly and hugs Toby-

Trish: Great! That makes another one of us!

-James turns to Toby with a concerned look on his face-

James: Wait ... You too? I don't see any problem with that ... except I was going to do the Gym challage as well!

-Trish tilts her head at James-

Trish: Why would that be a problem? Can't we all do it?

-James lowers his gaze and bites his lip-

James: Ah ... eh ... um ... Sure, yeah, that sounds fine. No problems here.

(Shoot, I wanted all that glory of beating the challange for myself. Guess I'll have to work with these guys, and stop thinking about myself)

-He smiles at Trish-

James: First time I've been in a group, you see.

-Trish blinks, then grins-

Trish: Oooooh, okay! Well, I'm sure you'll get more comfortable with us soon~

-James's smile widens slightly, before turning away from Trish toward the rest of the path-

James:Well, let's get going then. This challange isn't going to complete itself!

-He begins walking up the path, humming a tune. August emerges from the bushes and begins following behind him-

-Toby still wasn't estatic about the journey, or adventure in general. He had never been that kinda guy. But Guts had gotten so happy, he'd have to be a jerk to refuse this chance to his friend. Toby was also a little relived to find out that he wasn't the only one who wasn't used to traveling in a group. He might have even said something but...-

Toby: (I am REALLY going to have to get used to all the hugging. Otherwise my brain'll melt.)

Alex arches an eyebrow at James before following.

-Trish happily follows James along the path, up to Viridian City.-

-With Guts in tow, Toby followed after the group. He was going to try and catch up to Trish at first, when he became aware of something he needed to say. So he passed by Trish and approached Alex.

Toby: H-hey Alex, I wanna thank you real quick. Despite throwin me and Guts at a wild Pokemon, you were able to help me get over a bit of my anxeity. So thanks.

Alex looked at Toby with a bit of a surprised look.

"Erm..don't mention."

Gordie rested on Alex's head.

The brush rustles and a Pidgey pops out. Alex grins as she grips a pokeball.

"Mine! Icy Wind Gordie!"

Gordie blew a gust of icy wind at the Pidgey. The Pidgey shivered and retaliated with a Gust.

-Trish turns around and watches Alex's battle with interest.-

Trish: Hmm...

-Toby took off to the sidelines, probably a bit quicker than what was actually necessary. He took up a spot next to Trish, ready to watch Alex's battle. But first...-

Toby: H-hey, um, th-thanks for stickin up for me. I mean, I'm not sure exactly what ya said, cause I was kinda panicking, but still...

-Meanwhile Guts was vigorously cheering his fellow pokemon as he battled the wild flying type.-

-Trish smiles and gives Toby a hug from the side — an inherently awkward, but nonetheless meaningful gesture.-

Trish: No problem~

-She's still mostly focused on the battle.-

The Pidgey shook isomer frost off it's wings, only to be interrupted by another Icy Wind. It fell to the ground.

"Heh, Icy Wind reduces the targets Speed. Now, go Pokeball!"

She chucked a pokeball at the bird mon. It started to shake.

-Toby's face lit up yet again as he got yet another hug. This time, however, his attention was diverted rather quickly as Alex attempted to catch the flying pokemon.-

Toby: Wow, I don't think I've ever seen someone catch a pokemon in person before!

Evelyn: Don't think I have, either!

-She quickly glances down at the single empty Poké Ball on her belt then continues watching Alex's capture attempt with a huge smile on her face.-

Evelyn: But I really want to try this myself now!

-Trish is lost in thought.-

Trish: (I wonder what my first catch is gonna be...)

-She turns back toward the path, a determined look on her face. She continues along, finally entering...-

Viridian City

Trish: There's gotta be somewhere to get Pokeballs and stuff, right?

-Toby followed quickly after his new friends, terrified of being alone. He took a quick look around Viridian City, or what eh could see from where he stood. He'd been here many times with his Dad, and every time, his brothers made him look dumb or stole all the attention away. He shook a little. -

Toby: Well, we could try to look at the Market store. I-I mean if th-that's okay with you. (GAH!)
