"If you want a souvenir, why didn't you just say so?" he took one of the severed hands off of the chainsaw and held it out.
"Or... you could grab that thing." He pointed his hand - and the severed one as well - at the .357 magnum revolver the bandit leader had been gripping in his hands earlier when he shot Gary.
"Sweeet!" Recon grabbed the bulk of metal and the hand with unashamed glee.
"Wonder how much this'll go for? Gonna be a pain to carry around, but these things go for...what, 2000 caps? Hahaha, not bad! And the guy wielding it was a real mean bastard too! Damn, wish there were more of them!" he rambled.

"Don't know who'll pay 2000 caps for that pistol, but sure, you're welcome," Slick said, opening up one of his shoulders and shoving the chainsaw inside before closing it. "Always good to have spare parts."
He held the bandit's severed hands in his own, looking at them for a moment. "Nope, can't use these," he said, chucking them behind him, over his shoulders.
Thornhill
The rest of the sign was illegible, eroded by something or other in the centuries between its construction and the present day. It stood in front of some derelict building whose purpose was long ago forgotten, but the sign's one word still provided the group with the information they needed.
"Well, this is it," Gary said, having led the group back to what was—he was pretty sure it was, at least—Thornhill street. "Ring any bells?" he asked Isaac. "Or should we just fan out and look for a subway entrance?"
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction."Not a subway entrance," Aizakku said. "I remember surfacing in some bombed-out building around here, the subway having caved in..."

Xarok turned to Recon, "Any chance I could borrow that .357 while we're -"
Then it dawned on him. "Wait, Slick, you said the corpses upstairs in that building were made by a .357, right?"
He turned to the securitron, a bemused expression behind his mask, "I think we inadvertently avenged them back there."

Flesh is a design flaw."Tight spaces, fun fun fun," Recon said gaily as he took out the .357 from earlier.
"Here ya are," he handed it to Xarok. "Don't really use pistols anyway. Dad's a big fan but they're a bit too small for me," he rambled.
After that, he took out his lever action, filled its magazine, and crept into the tunnel, motioning for the others to follow.
"Oh! There it is," Aizakku said, impressed at how quickly Recon had found the tunnel. Once inside, he continued leading the group down the tunnel, hoping not to run into any mutated creatures.

If there were any surprises in the tunnels, she didn't want to be up front to catch an attack to the face. Besides, it looked like they were better equipped to take a hit, if it came to that.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Gary aimed his pip-boy light ahead cautiously, holding it underneath his rifle to keep the weapon held upright. Other than what lights they could bring themselves, the subway tunnels were pitch black; you never knew what you would find down here, and if it was something nasty, he wanted to see it coming. Gary had been in a subway system before, in the ruins of some distant city further south, and he wasn't a fan. Mostly you found nothing, but the few times that you did made sure that you always dreaded the dark corridors.
"How are we supposed to know where to go down here? Even if we had a map, we don't know where the vault entrance is. What can you remember, Isaac?"
How are you, gentlemen? All your base are belong to us. You are on the way to destruction.Xarok removed his gas mask for the time being. In this darkness, the protective, slit-like eyes hampered his vision even further. He held the revolver in his right hand with the left on the hilt of his extended ripper.
Flesh is a design flaw."I traveled in a straight line the whole time," Aizakku recalled. "If we keep going forward, we'll find a hole on... the left side, eventually."
"Doki Doki Lit. Club" is a happy game where nothing bad happens. seriously tho? not for the faint of heart."You sure you're remembering right?" Slick asked, feeling along the walls for a door.

"As long as we're walking here, why don't we sing something? To keep our spirits up? I'll start."
He cleared his throat.
"Ninety-nine bottle of beer on the wall, ninety-nine bottles of beer..."
"Yes, I'm pretty sure we're going in the right direction," Aizakku tried to quell Slick's fears. He hoped he wouldn't end up in some team-leadership position. He wasn't good with people. Being a hemophobic loner from the Vault did not help matters.
"Doki Doki Lit. Club" is a happy game where nothing bad happens. seriously tho? not for the faint of heart."Exactly how big is this hole we're looking for, anyway?", Calico asked.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power..."A couple meters high," answered Aizakku.

Calico picked up the spare pistol that Garry apparently didn't need after all, before searching the corpse on the stairs. Even if she didn't use chems, she could trade them for ammo.
"I'm sure you won't be needing your tire iron anymore", she said to the dead raider as she picked the weapon up from off the stairs. She wasn't all that adept at swinging a melee weapon, but you never know when one could come in handy.
