Yeah, I remember it being discussed as a possibility. It's still pretty disturbing to seemingly have it confirmed, though.

I hadn't expected to the arc to wrap up like that, but at the same time it seemed to work.

Looks like everyone is going to need a hug after this. The Quinx and Akira in particular seem pretty broken, and Juuzou's probably going to have a lot to deal with now that "Mama" is truly gone.

So the preview of the Jack OVA is out seems okay I just want another season of TG anime.

It does look nice, but then again OVA tend to have higher quality art compared to tv series.

I had a feeling that Ayogri Tree used Takiwaza's parents to break him even before his ramblings about eating his parents. Kaneki only had that child and mother he befriended (or the couple in the anime). Takiwaza had a living family that they could of used.....

He's definitely not stable under the surface. Makes me wonder if Takiwaza being the strongest attitude is the only thing left keeping him from being completely insane at this point or if it's just a mask. That was just as bad as Kaneki's insane ramblings when he went kakuja if not more....

And yeah Floppy definitely looks to be Amon. That little shot we got of Floppy's face revealed that he had pretty much the same exact hairstyle. The fact that he's a cannibal ghoul isn't to surprising either.

Takizawa's not even stable on the surface. Like, the second we saw him, we all kind of went 'welp, he looks psychologically unstable.'

It feels a bit odd that Monsieur Croquette wasn't sitting with Kanae and Matsumae if he was Tsukiyama's father...though admittedly the latter two are more servant-tier.

The two-pronged operation does explain why some of the major players seemed to be missing (on the other hand, throwing all the main investigators into a mission wouldn't make much sense either unless it was an epic-scale one like the Owl extermination). I can't quite figure out how important Koori Ui is supposed to be - he was introduced out of nowhere and has only appeared infrequently since, but he's supposed to be really skilled.

I wonder what Akira is going to do now that she's discovered Takizawa's fate. As well as what's going to happen to Hinami...well, if we find out more about what she was doing in the intervening years, that'll be interesting at least.

Akira seems pretty...broken about it honestly. Her face once she saw him said it all. I think it was worse that some part of him recognized her as well. He didn't try to kill her immediately so I guess that makes it even more sad.

I am not sure what to think about what happened to Hinami. Although it seems like Arima isn't going to kill her judging by that conversation Haise had with him. Haise's starting to show more Kaneki traits again since he accepted Centipede/Kaneki.

I'm definitely curious whether Akira will report what she saw, or whether she's going to keep it to herself like Amon kept his suspicions quiet. Will she tell anyone who the mystery SS~ Rated Ghoul was, or just quietly break down over the implications of not only what happened to Takizawa.....but obviously what might have happened to Amon.

I don't doubt Akira could connect the dots, since one was last seen going to help the other.

It looks like Shirazu is really shaken up over Nutcracker's death, too. The whole "don't say things a human would say" thing, seeing a Ghoul as a person instead of a monster.

Akira doesn't seem like the type to just sit still after something like this. I wonder if she'll strike out on her own to find out what happened to Takizawa. Takizawa, on the other hand...his reaction to her was calmer than might have been expected, given his rant to Sasaki earlier. It seems he retained enough sanity to realise he was outmatched by the CCG forces there, at least.

Probably the best-case-scenario for Hinami now is that she's imprisoned. Sasaki might have a chance to talk to her that way, too...

Interestingly, he seems to go from elated (Hee hee it's Mado!) to covering his face in the same way that Kaneki tried to hide his face from Hide.

But it's good that he can understand when it's time to get the hell out of dodge. I wonder whether there will be any fallout from him abandoning Hinami?

I don't think he'd be a fault for her getting captured, since she was technically disobeying her orders by abandoning her post as field leader. I mean, he seemed to be there simply to as a test run (and maybe with the goal of fighting Haise).

I doubt Eto/Kanou gave him any orders more complex than "go nuts, have fun". Or expected him to be able to obey them, at any rate.

• Urie with his loss of control and possibly being a Secret-Keeper regarding Mutsuki's gender
• Mutsuki regarding all the shit she went through
• Shirazu with his view of Ghouls following Nutcracker
• Saiko being the Secret-Keeper regarding Hinami
• Sasaki with the custody of Hinami and the inevitable confrontation when Akira finds out who Hinami is.

Urie is around, but I'm very suspicious of the fact he tries to avoid dinner and sits away from the table in all the shots of him. (Trying to hide something, are we?)

Mutsuki ordering Urie around = crap, I think I ship it a little.

Saiko and Kuramoto being BFF is amazing. I guess we can officially say he wasn't being dishonest with chatting up Sasaki way back when, since he seems to really like the Quinx now.

Sasaki got Arima a tie pin of a horse. (Ah, well played with the word play, Sasaki.)
