I wouldn't be surprised honestly. Though potential health problems from the mangaka lifestyle wouldn't help.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. When is the distinct line where things started declining?
Like I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer regarding these matters so I don't see it as clearly as the rest of you.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Near the end of the current anime arc with Tsukiyamas family and Haise "dies" is when people generally start to see a decline. Though the raid on Cochlea where Kaneki planned to die with style is also seen as such too.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. For me I stopped reading the manga right around when Mutsuki went nuts. I liked him before the Torso incident. I still kept an eye on the series after that and it went into a direction I just didn't like. I only read the chapters on Amon and Takizawa after that. I did like how Saiko changed though
It was mainly due to Furuta. I really think he lasted way too long as a villain. Shirazu dying, and the events preceding that, also killed part of my interest as I really liked the old Quinx. Urie, and Saiko got better as a characters but Kaneki got worse at that time and Mutsuki completely went off the rails.
I also personally really wanted to see Kankei and the Quinx infiltrate the ghoul world but that just didn't go anywhere sadly.

Furuta: Damn...this is it for me...and my dream to have Rize as my waifu! Ken: Wait! This whole time you just wanted the girl who nearly killed me during our first meeting? Furuta: ...Yes...
Mileena MadnessKen: Same girl you had nearly killed & then sent to a scientist that barely kept her alive or well functioning in general?
Furuta:....... Yup.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."For me personally I can point out the exact moment Tokyo Ghoul started to decline for me, and it happened a lot later than people would think. It was the Yomo and Uta conversation in Chapter 142 or 141 I think. That conversation was about how Yomo was going to end up paying with his life if he worked against loss. When I read that I immediately thought, "Kaneki parrellel." To me it was a sign that Kaneki's self sacrificing nature wasn't gonna go away, it still remained, in subtle habits.
And I was right. The very next chapter Kaneki lost because of his old habits and taking everything upon himself.
Most people will say Rueshima is when it got bad but I loved even most parts of the 24th ward raid.
Everything after that has felt kind of disconnected. Thematically or otherwise. When :re ends I want to reread the whole series in one go and see if that helps in piecing together the story.
Like I recently read the just the 24th Ward arc and I think I understand what Ishida was getting at now.
Say what you will about the 24th but I can saythere was a lot of thought put into its events. Can't say the same for Dragon though.
Again, hopefully a reread will help me out with this one.
I still like parts of the Dragon arc individually but as a coherent story I feel like it lost focus.

I think that sounds like a good idea. Sometimes, binging things in one go kind of gives new perspective to things. The week-to-week reading may feel different than when you can read the whole thing as a single experience.
I did reread most of it pretty recently, and it is all quite as bit better that way. Like, Mutsuki's actions don't seem anywhere near as unreasonable on the second read because it's clearer that, for example, he had no way of knowing Furuta was responsible for the whole Dragon thing.
It's not that he doesn't cross the line is other ways, but his decent into extremism is actually a neat parallel to the way Urie becomes more of a moderating influence in the same time frame.
On neither read-through did I ever really care about Hige, Aura and Hsiao, though.
The 3 extra Quinx you mean?
Yeah I don't think anyone ever gave an absolute shit about them.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Same
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So, what do you consider worse right now? TG's anti-climax or the new site design?
Complain about it here.

Mileena MadnessThe new site design.
I've been signed out of it ''every time it closes the browser despite having Remember Me clicked.
Even if I'm not satisfied with T Gs past few arcs it hasn't infuriated me the way this has.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Depends on if it's permanent or not.
Those 3 extra Quinx never had a chance really. They came at a point when the series focus shifted primarily on Ken thus preventing them from forming the intense relationships that made the original Quinx the series emotional centerpiece.
They never ascended past being just superfluous extra muscle.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Maybe it's just me, but I can't seen any Youtube embed videos here anymore after the site design change.
I also had to re-update my profile's signature and title and relationship status.
Disgusted, but not surprisedGotta ask, do you think we'll get a time skip next chapter?
Yes and I'm hoping either everyone he knows is old ala Captain America or dead. Make him now the Maitreya/Miroku destined to appear in the future.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Can't just have a happy ending with Touka and Ken together can we?
Because the Clowns *Puts on Clown Mask* always have the last laugh.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Honestly more interested in seeing the human and ghoul coexistence with a time skip. Touka and Ken I'm will have a happy ending I'm sure, it's basically a presupposition for me. Thought there is always a part of me that loves the more bittersweet endings, for TG I feel like a more triumphant ending would serve it better, I'm happy with whatever Ishida writes though.
I want to see Mutsurie too. Pleasure-chan. Also some closure surrounding Kurona and my long awaited Takizawa conversation.
Well, the final volume is going to be 322 pages.
Based on the usual number of pages devoted to artwork and omakes, plus the pages for each chapter, we're going to have 19 extra pages of SOMETHING.
Epilogue chapter, maybe? If so, it will be a full-length one.
Just wanna say this: I haven't follow the series. But seeing some of the videos and how the setting looks like. To be completely honest...I felt that the series music could be composed nicely with Susumu Hirasawa. The main reason why I'm saying this it's because try and hear Paranoia Agent soundtrack...It almost matches with Tokyo Ghoul vibe nicely in my humble opinion. And yeah, I've been experimenting with combining Paranoia Agent theme and Tokyo Ghoul: Re theme and mute the latter theme. And the results is interesting tbh. Don't get me wrong...Many people probably like Aspyhxia which is alright. But yeah, I've been experimenting with these themes and it blends quite nicely IMO.

"Making screw-ups and mistakes was I ever really good at. Because everything I touch went to hell."It begins.
- Earn Your Happy Ending seems to be in full effect. Hinami and Ayato together, Naki and Miza start a family/explosively breed 7 kids.
The temptation to look at spoilers is killing me.
Any idea how long this chapter will take to translate?
I mean, that is merely speculation. Ishida has made a couple of critical posts that were immediately deleted, suggesting he wasn't happy with things in the industry. It's also.....well.....a not-so-secret thing that rookie creators have very little control over their works and editorial tends to make all kinds of decisions. It's very typical of 1st time works, because Japanese companies tend to have a very strict control over their employees.
Ishida is a rookie, so he has very little creative control over his work. He simply doesn't have the clout necessary to negotiate for much with his publisher, so he's subject to any demands they may have from him.
It may be baseless speculation in the end, but it's certainly telling that we have such a distinct line of where things started declining. And it was primarily a matter of things being rushed, and it often feeling odd for Ishida's previous work. I think it's a combination of having so much he wanted to do and editorial pressure/interference.
