I'm assuming the inn has a stable, or is that a separate enterprise?
Not this inn. The stables are close enough, though you may need to pay a little extra for your particular mount. Thankfully I'm not tracking gold.
Flesh is a design flaw. In that case my first action is to buy every jewel in town
I was just thinking that since Tricksen and I both have animals, then if the game starts out with all of us already meeting inside or something then it would just be convenient to have already dealt with the matter of where we put them.
Yeah, I won't hassle you about putting your mounts up when you get into town, you can just mention it in passing.
I'll get the first post up soon.
Flesh is a design flaw. Here's the roleplay thread. Have at it.
Flesh is a design flaw.Fauxlosophe, is your character supposed to obviously be a worshiper of Pyr, or not-so-obviously?
grup we pleaseFeel free to write your own version of the opening post. Obviously you didn't all step through the door at once. Who knows, maybe the city guards did give you a little trouble.

Flesh is a design flaw.Clearly Devlin will be the party's moral compass.
@ Crim: I think Colm is incognito right now.
Flesh is a design flaw.@ Fauxlosophe: Are you rejecting the dwarf's kind gesture? He bought a round of the good stuff for all three of you right as he sat down.
Flesh is a design flaw.and you're ignoring Alaeddin as well?
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusCriiiiiiim, where are you?
He's at Quakecon. He said he'll post tomorrow morning.
Flesh is a design flaw.Sorry guys! At work and I didn't realize I didn't have this thread marked (so I assumed there was no recent conversation).
I'm just going to write it that Colm didn't realize Alaedin was talking to him.
I had meant for Colm to typically wear his hood down (Unless he is doing something sneaky like) so "the hooded human" didn't register with me the first time I read the thread.

Mé féin ag daṁsa faoin ngealaċ seanrince gan ċeol leis ach ceol cuisle. DS FC: 4141-3472-4041, feel free to add me.Ugh. I didn't mean to write such a rambling piece, but my planned reaction to Alaeddin's wine theft just didn't mesh with where the story had gone when I got back from work. So many lines just to ask a girl's name (Unfortunately it feels that way in real-life too).
EDIT: Actually, on second thought, it's not too bad.

Nihil assumpseris, sed omnia resolvere!Durr, I realize now that I forgot a major thing regarding that "What races has your character seen" question. What were the invading races in the Parlat incident?
Reading the setting thread, it only mentions humans, so presumably those would be the majority, although given Parlat's following among "dispossessed crossbreeds and the very poor", a smattering of all the races is possible.
Nihil assumpseris, sed omnia resolvere!Yep, I was at Quakecon, but now that's over.
grup we pleaseHave been busy this weekend, traveling around with limited internet connection. Stop piling on to the poor barkeep. He can only respond to the last thing, so Mirana will have to ask again if she wants to know about the street evangelist.
Edit: And Crim, Vythlian doesn't need to speak out loud for his armor to hear him, as long as he's wearing it.
Edit 2: Vythlian wouldn't be mistaken for a Stygian soldier, his armor is a lot fancier and has robes.

Flesh is a design flaw.Saigar will show up in the next post, unless you need more time.
Flesh is a design flaw.Just checking: Slavery among the dark elves was outlawed when they were conquered 19 years ago, right. What about Pyria and Terul? When, if ever, was slavery outlawed in those territories?
Nihil assumpseris, sed omnia resolvere!Pblades introduced the idea of slavery in Tarul, and I thought it felt right for the place. I'd say it was less crucial to their way of life than it was for Tor'koril, and it's been much longer since it was outlawed there (more or less immediately upon its conquest ~100 years ago), so they've mostly gotten over it. Tor'koril, meanwhile, is still sort of reeling from the change - although they have the more prosperous regions of the empire to lean on. I never really imagined Pyria as holding slaves, mainly just serfs that they forced their god upon. Serfdom is still legal.
I'll make a post soon.
Edit: Pyria is basically modeled off the Holy Roman Empire, or at least that's the feeling I want it to have had before its conquest by Stygia. Honestly though, my knowledge of the HRE is pretty spotty.
