Dawngate

So I didn't fin any other topic for this so... Anyone playing Dawngate?

It's a new MOBA that is in open Beta, trying to alter some of the conventions of the genre and trying some interesting new things. The jungle is bigger, there are only two lanes and there is a system where you pick from 4 roles, independent of your character, that define how you play. You can be a Gladiator taking gold from creeps, Tactitian as support, gaining gold passively from minions dying around you and harassing enemies, Hunter that takes gold from killing jungle creeps or Predator which gets gold from ganking and killing other characters.

I mean One is clearly the Bigger Bad, but Fenmore is clearly gonna be the one doing all the work.

Yeah I play Dawngate. Been making sure to touch up the tropes page for it where I can ever since I hopped in at around a few weeks after the short trailer that appeared at EA's E3 conference, and I've taken to it pretty well.

Coming up to 300 matches played total and I'm currently rocking a 7 match winstreak. Getting that MMR, baby.

I don't play ranked league type systems if I can help it, but since there is no ranked mode and the compromise is to track how everyone's doing in normal for now, I might as well keep an eye on it.

Also Sgt. Buttersworth is the best name for anything ever.

Got done with my Week of Viridian

Viridian is what I'd call A Sustain Assassin, His combo when pulled off can easily rival Friea's Auto barrage power or Kindra's burst strength

But requires alot more technical and positioning awareness... He isn't Weaker then the other assassin's he just has a learning curve

I hate Viridian. Anybody I fight who plays Viridan knows the risks and knows how to play Viridan, and then consistently rips through my matches with high mobility, damage, AND sustain.

Back a while before Voluc got patched after his new passive took him overboard, it was a relief to face even him if it meant I didn't have to see Viridian. I knew how to handle Volucs. Rampaging unchase-able fish demon, not so much.

Viyana reveals herself NO not like that!

While I think Chronicles rendition of Nissa was an improvement...Not really impressed with Viyana's rendition.

I get the artist is trying to empathize her inhumanness... but kinda like with Eidolus the lack of empathize on the eyes messes up the character kinda making them ugly to look at.

As long as you have a proper warning Voluc's ganks are easy to avoid due to him having no distance closers other then his slow but it has had its ranged nerfed to the point you have to pretty much have be close enough for melee combat to begin with.

That, and if you pack Wither, the job is as good as done.

Also Viyana being Viyana again, though apparently justified in being all snippy about it.

There is one thing that does still take people by surprise... Its if you equip an impulse on Voluc... The dash for some reason also makes the enemy team jump XD

This is before For those who haven't read Primeval, The Elders pretty much tell Viyana to go anyway, and she's completely floored cuase one she's never had to deal with outsiders without her dad's to back her up and She realizes she just made an ass of herself to the people she's going to met.
