subs are out (not official because fuck Funimation)

the episode was fine. it explained some backstory changes from the previous seasons which I assume are to match the games ( I wish I could have access to anything besides the PSP games). Mitsunari curbstomped Date and Kojurou and Ieyasu and Hideyoshi had a fisfight that ended with Ieyasu's victory and Hideyoshi's death. naturally Mitsunari is angry when he finds out and , to many Fujo's delight , he brought Ieyasu's face to kissing range of his to shout at Ieyasu. all in all nice episode

okay, Fuck funi in the ass. those guys forgot about this, thank god fansubbers are there well now onto EP 2:

the fighting was great and Shingen is half dead now, leaving Yukimura devastated forcing the Takeda forces to retreat from their battle against Ieyasu

Hm, I can say that it's not bad now that I've gotten used to the tone they're taking, but I do think the previous tone fit the material better

So, lots of plot threads this episode. I wonder if they'll actually tie together meaningfully this time around

so, this episode was basically Ieyasu visiting the entire cast and proposing alliances.

it was funny how , at least in the subs, sanada almost quoted Joseph:

"depending on your answer , I'm ready to fight you!"

Since Funi made me look like an ass by delaying the launch this long, I'm probably just gonna wait for the dub since they have DVD rights anyway.

new episode:

crazy depressed Yukimura tries to be Shingen and beat Kenshin, he fails miserably (and thanks to some talk from Kenshin, gets out of his depression) (also,Kasuga orgasm is back)

Yukimura wants to form an alliance with Mitsunari to fight against Ieyasu, so Sasuke and Kasuga go to Osaka to bring the guy to Yukimura , but Ootani is an asshole and shouts they're Tokugawa agents, and they have to fight Mitsunari and Chosokabe , they get pushed back and use ninja moves to hold Ootani hostage , who after that, tells the truth about Sasuke and Kasuga (they're from Takeda and want an alliance with Mitsunari)

Date arrives on Sanada territory, and while Sanada and Date are arguing , Sasuke arrives with Mitsunari , Date tries to attack the guy (who doesn't even remember Date) and Sanada protects Mitsunari , and the episode ends there

The fights this episode just made me really miss the original series. I am liking what they are doing with this after I got more used to it, but the Dragon v Tiger fight brought me back.

I think TMS is saving their budget for Sekigahara, which is why the fights have been underwhelming so far. On the plus side, they're giving more focus to character drama, which is really what drives the plot.

Wakamoto Nobunaga is coming back to life (I hope he's in all his hammy and evil glory)

If he isn't I'll riot.

Since this series is trying to be closer to the game (which I admittedly haven't played, just heard about) than the movie, I hope it won't end the exact same way as that film. It was enjoyable at the time, but felt a bit too open-ended in the long run.

this episode was mostly build up for the battle of Sekigahara , which begins next episode (does that mean we're getting 4 episodes of Sekigahara? AWESOME)

Sekigahara, The Final Battle Begins!

So they were def saving their budget for this last set of episodes.

This whole thing can best be described as "Let's rumble party!Yeah!"

And we are getting The Last Party repeat here.

the dude voiced by TM Revolution joined Xavism and his new name is Revolution (also, his new outfit is a reference to an outfit TM Revolution wore for a song PV)

that human cannon stuff was great

Nobunaga is gonna come back next ep (this ep ended with honnouji temple being summoned from hell)

I really hope we'll get actual fights now that Oda is coming back. It's bad enough we were skimped out on Shimazu vs Tadakatsu.

I know, that frustrated me so much. I was ready for the throw down of the season.

And so it ends with 12.

I must say I was surprised that Oda didn't come back and instead it was Oichi controlling his demon form or that Tenkai somehow survived and kept his promise to Hideaki. They seemed to be taking some bits from the fourth game from what I see with Xavi land and Tenkai's caring for Hideaki on some level.

That second final battle makes me think of the alternate routes of Masamune and Yukimura when they go recruit both in order to face each other. Except without all the issues between Mitsunari and Ieyasu.
