What are the traits of "I Just Want To Be Normal" characters in anime?

In my manga there is a genre(anime) savy un soccerer, who lives in a world where everyone is a super. He identifies one of the characters as a whiny "I just want to be normal" character, and since he has no powers he is pissed his friend is complaining about having powers. >>>>>So what are the common traits and downfalls of these ungrateful characters? I am trying to write my unsorcerer's speech on how you should appreciate your powers, but what are the negative traits of the wanting to be normal characters? I need to find bad stuff for him to say.

I don't think there's any real differences beyond perhaps being someone that just wants to be normal in Japan(a relatively rare setting outside Japanese works.)
