This is weird—I happened to take another look at the Flame Bait page, and Mary Sue (and its subtropes) aren't on there. There was a minor edit war before the page was locked recently, but no one ever made a forum topic to discuss it.
So don't go on a deleting spree until that's sorted. Again though, editing combative entries to be more neutral and less "This character sucks and anyone who likes it sucks" is always okay.
Anything that proclaims anything about people with a certain opinion or preference should be deleted. Stating that people have an opinion is one thing, but judging them after it is just gossip and speculations.
Check out my fanfiction!I was specifically referring to the Superman example, which didn't specifically call anyone out or insult them, but had a very strong angry tone.
And I was specifically referring to any comments like "anyone who likes it sucks" or "if this doesn't make you cry you're heartless" and stuff like that.
Exactly.

Check out my fanfiction! Those comments can generally be removed without loss of information.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
That is correct. Mary Sue is both too polarizing and too vaguely defined to have any value either as a trope or as a tool for criticism of works. For this, you may thank the people who have turned it into a catch-all for any character they don't like.
