If you're going to do Eggstra Work, let the Hydra take on the Goldie to get a good amount of eggs.

"What should we do for wave five for this Eggstra Work, sir?"

"Mmm. Just give them all the Stingers and Flyfish ever"

"...With the Hydra, sir?"

"Hydra? I've never heard of that weapon before but it sounds cool. Yeah sure"

Yeah Wave 5 is ugly.

...no wonder I didn't bother with the previous Eggstra Work event. Wake me up when there is a weapon in the loadout that is from a class that I like (don't make me stress out the Inkbrush, it was not made for Salmon Run).

Back in 2 which didn't have egg throwing, the Inkbrush had some niche use as way to quickly run eggs to the basket while weaving around the Lessers. Can still use it that way in 3, but just throwing the eggs tends to be better most of the time.

Anyone know the averages for this run of Eggstra Work?

I know myself: I don't have the skill set required to save the world from any sort of immediate disaster, so I'm just going to spend my final days as normal. I'd say I'd go all bucket list and try to travel the world but... everyone else would have the same idea and I wouldn't be able to book any flights.

IRL I'd probably do like Shiver or Frye, but if I had the resources I'd 100% try my hand at going down in history as the man who saved the world.

Eggstra Work results came out, like, 14 hours ago, but i'm curious: how did you all do?

i got top 50%, which is not what i was expecting! i was expecting bottom 50%, honestly. high score was 148!

Oh, there was a special event this weekend? Darn.

I also got like 148 (maybe exactly that number) and I'm in top 50%!

One time when I made it to wave 5, we were just 2 short of the quota.

hello, hello, Splatoon thread, just got a question:

the Splatoon 3 page claims that the "Octoling pose" for staring at Off The Hook for a while shows up once you beat Side Order with every Palette:

however, i have beaten Side Order with every Palette, and i still haven't seen their unique animation. i'm assuming the page is wrong, but just to be sure: has anyone else here seen the "Octoling pose"? and how did you do it?

Try switching your player character to an Octoling and see if that does it. I haven't verified for myself, but some people say that playing as an Octoling is still a requirement

There is video footage of them doing the pose in Splatoon 3, so it is real

I was wondering if it was depending on which cephalopod your playing as like in Splatoon 2?

yeah i'll prob try that when i get home n stuff. kinda weird that both animations are still present, like one doesn't override the other, when that is exactly how it works for Deep Cut and the Squid Sisters, but eh, i don't really care

The logic is sound enough to me. New Three can be either an Inkling or an Octoling, so having Deep Cut and the Squid Sisters permanently change animations after ROTM makes perfect sense. Eight has to be an Octoling because of the Octo Expansion
