Senran Kagura

Neat little thing I just found on SK 2

When activating a stance, the character makes a little power up animation that it wouldn't be out of place on DBZ, this animations generates a small aura that will hit any close enemy but it leaves you open to attacks (is rare but some enemie's attacks are able to knock you out of the animation, cancelling the stance).

Well, you can activate the stance and as soon the aura surrounds your character you can cancel into a short dash, this will only skip the damaging aura but it will put your character into the stance, thus eliminating any vulnerability.

Also worth noticing that you can use the damaging aure without scrolls, it will just damage the enemies but you won't enter into your stance

You know, working on the different SK girls for stuff made me realise that I genuinely don't hate anyone in the series. Like, for a series full of Base Breakers, every character clicks with me in certain ways. Sure, some click more than others, but you know.

The Base Breaker thing being rather big surprise to me, as I am helping someone write a story which does feature Yagyuu and Hibari and one of central themes is "audience reaction". And where I knew about Hibari, I never really gauged Yagyuu. 'Sister, Friend, Lover' relation indeed.

To be fair, a big part of the distaste against some girls stems more of their fans than the characters themselves. I don't really are about Yumi for example but she has some of the most obnoxious fans I've ever seen, constantly bragging about her popularity and disminishing the other characters.

I can't stand the twins though, the masochism angle kind of swallows any aspect from Ryouna's character reducing her to a gimmicky character whose gimmick I find extremely creepy. While Ryobi has always been writing like an awful, awful person with no redeeming qualities.

Seeing that the guy in charge of social media on europe has been quite active I asked the following:

"Hi everyone, just a few questions about the game.

I’ve noticed that the plan is for the localization to include all the patches out of the box, correct? Well, I played the Japanese version and the first patch make significant changes to the game difficulty to make it easier. Is there any chance that you guys could implement the original difficult somehow?

This game has a beautiful song that plays over the credits with some line of dialogue between the performers. Will that dialogue be subbed or even better, will be the whole song subbed?"

And I got these answers

"I’m afraid that we will be aiming to push the patch with the base game, although there is difficult settings for individual missions*. As for the question regarding subtitles, I will check our working build and get back to you with the results, and the plans depending on how the results are."

I never doubted a bit. Good to at least know it is happening, especially since Deep Crimson is still being translated. You know, to possibly lessen the gap than it would have been if it was announced right before or after Deep Crimson is out.

Also, I know they discussed about alternate timelines, but this is like first time I heard that the game itself is an alternate dimension. Like, not the Versus series as a whole, but the location of the EV.
