Which cables are you using to connect to the TV?

I'm not sure how appropriate this is to the forums, it is more of a technical issue than anything regarding video game news and info.
But yeah, sometimes that stuff shorts out certain connections and you need to replace some cables. A friend of mine had a similar problem (the X Box was recognized but had serious issues with display black space registered as a weird pixelated red) and he fixed it by buying a new HDMI cable.

All right, I can't figure out a different place to put this, so here goes...
A few minutes ago, my power went out, then flipped back on after a few seconds. This wouldn't be a problem, but now my TV won't recognize my Xbox 360. To be clear: My Xbox turns on just fine, but my TV won't recognize it. I tried unplugging my screen recorder (and I mean THE ENTIRE THING), since it has caused similar problems before, but no luck.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks a lot!
