[up][up] I'm guessing that he's just a jerk.

[up] I will be as excited and optimistic about this movie as I want to be, no matter what you might think of that or anything else I have said. Okay?

It was nice seeing the second trailer before watching TMNT but I'm kind of sad I didn't get the UK trailer.

Definitely Maria. Dramatic tension and all that.

That's beautiful. Better than Pixar. It looks painted surprisingly. I hope this gives Reel FX a good run for future films(even if I liked free Birds). Maybe this will give Gutierrez a home run for future projects just like Sellick with Laika.

I think the performance of this movie is going to determine what kind of studio Reel FX will be. If it's commercially successful, they'll want to keep making more projects like it. Which would be awesome, because we need another studio that's doing things completely different from the competition.

How come fashion inspired by the The Book Of Life comes out gorgeous, but fashion inspired by Disney comes out ugly??

Maybe it has to do with that this is less about printing cartoon characters all over the fabric and more about actually carrying the theme of the film.

Well they could very easily have gone the worse way and make the dresses copying the characters too!

The red dress reminded me a bit of La Muerte.

"The medal of everlasting life-YA KNOW something tells me from what I saw at barnes and noble's book of life books a story of friendship-I BET XILBALBA disguised himself as the strange old man and gave Jaquin that medal to help in the bet he made with his wife-TINY spoiler there"

"And the medal of everlasting life is hidden under those brown belts-See on the left side-he keeps the magical medal under there so it isn't taken or shown"

I'm thinking the medal gives him special powers to fight the bandits and/or make Maria fall for him. Hoping I'm wrong about the latter, though. Knowing or figuring out what's going on and using the medal on Maria anyway would edge dangerously close to Moral Event Horizon territory.

I thought the first trailer was... "better" somehow. The movie looked more mysterious and magical.

This one is a bit too Shrek-ish. That's a not bad thing, it's just more... "common".

Also, I was disappointed at how they didn't show Xibalba and la Muerte in this new trailer (well, Xibalba *did* appear, but only for a couple of secs): I hope they DO have a big role in the movie (they're the reason I wanted to watch it in the first place) like the first trailer made me assume.

[up] I think that's a pretty common reaction to the second trailer. I know that when I try convincing people to go see the movie with me, I'm gonna show them the first trailer.

If I was a real troll, I'd be showing a clip of Discord meeting Tirek/Jafar talking to Aladdin in his hermit costume if I was saying "This is a new clip from Book of Life". |D

I'd use this:

Either that or Hercules sobbing over Meg's corpse. I'm not very creative when it comes to trolling.

I was referring to the rumor that Xibalba uses a old man disguise to get Joaquinn to cheat.

He seems perfectly fine with showing his true form to mortals, though. Especially when it would probably be more sensible not to, like when Manolo first meets him.
