Misused: Its Been Done get usage counts

So, according to the trope page's main text, this is a solely comedic trope in which the idea-stealing is either obvious to a general audience, or lampshaded, or both. In particular, the idea-stealing itself, rather than what was stolen, is the joke. What it is not is every instance of "show X has a similar joke to one that was done a few years ago in show Y", but many of the page's examples are just that - it almost feels like fans of certain shows complaining that other shows stole ideas that were "theirs". I haven't done a full wick check but it certainly looks at a brief glance that the trope is being abuse on work pages too. So what to do?
