Loud Video Ads

For the last few days there've been video ads on the site.

Since they play automatically and with sound, it's pretty distracting. Even worse is that they often only play after some time or are located at the bottom of the page, so finding them is kinda hard.

It's a real nuisance. I normally don't use adblock on tvtropes, but these things are a real problem

So question: Is this intentional? Are they supposed to be there, or do I just have bad luck? I don't think these things are a good idea.

Please discuss issues with the ads in this thread. Video ads are unfortunately not something that we can remove, but they shouldn't be playing audio without you clicking on them or at least hovering. If you find an ad that is doing so, you can use your browser's "View Source" or "Inspect Element" features to identify the ad code and post it in that thread.

Ads should also not be creating pop-ups, pop-unders, redirecting you automatically, or taking over part of your screen.
