An arena and more fun places to do things? Well now I'm feeling better about the game.
Those women need shirts though. And body armor. Hell everyone there does. You got no business carrying an AK if you're not properly geared for a fight.
Oh really when?Eh...while I admit I don't really get why those women are wearing that in the long run I am pretty sure how much armor you wear doesn't really protect you from bullets, explosives, and flamethrowers(unless it's like riot armor or any kind of bulletproof gear).
Resolution doesn't sell games, says Far Cry 4 dev. Aka, someone that's part of a dev house that's all about trying to wow us as much as they can with awesome graphics, yet somehow resolution doesn't count as part of the graphic quality.
1080p at 30fps?
Eh, I don't like that.
Oh really when?I'm not fussed. As long as it looks tolerably good on my PC I don't really care. Pre-ordered it anyways.
It'll look tollerable, but 30 FPS means that the image won't look at good as the industry standard of 60 FPS and the response time of the game won't be as great.
There are a number of You Tube videos out there in 30 FPS and You Tube now supports 60 FPS videos so you should be able to see the difference.
However, for most PC games, the framrate is uncapped and entirely depends on your graphics capabilities.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Personally, I prefer FPS over resolution, so that's one of the few things that depresses me about this game. But hey, as long as the FPS isn't as poor as FC 3's console release, then I'm good to go.
So does this mean the two opposing teams in multiplayer are going to be asymetrically different for once? Interesting, but that raises the question of balance, doesn't it?
Ubisoft did a good job with Spies vs Mercs in Splinter Cell Blacklist and this feels kinda similar. You got one sneaky guerrilla team and one with all the firepower and armor.
I'm sure it'll be all right.
Oh really when? It's not that I find asymmetrical factions wrong, it's that they're very difficult to balance correctly, especially in FPS games (unless the gameplay revolves around the asymmetry from the start. Only game that I can think of that partially succeeded at that was Left 4 Dead, and your example of Splinter Cell.
Looking good as always.
Though, what would make this game even better is if, in the future, they release a Blood Dragon spinoff for the game.
So, think there'll be an option to say "Fuck, I don't need this shit", get on a plane back home, and just put your mom's ashes in a nice grave instead? Because this seems like a LOT of trouble for some ashes. I love my mom too, but there's no way I'm doing all that when I can just keep them at home.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatReally wishing that Ubisoft didn't remove Far Cry 4 from Steam, because the PC was the platform I was planning to get it for. And since I don't have the next-gen consoles... yeah, guess I'll be waiting a bit before I purchase this one. If at all.
They really shot themselves in the foot taking their stuff off Steam. Sooner or later they'll realize Uplay sucks and they'll be back on.
Probably.
Oh really when?Damn it, Ubi, why do you have to hide an awesome game behind walls of dickery like this?
"Because fuck giving moneys to Gabe Newell" would be my guess. Ubisoft want a piece of that Steam-shaped pie, and are bound and determined to get it. The thing is folks, and this will probably annoy some of you, Ubisoft's Uplay and EA's Origin help to keep Steam a wee bit more honest. If they and services like them did not exist, I doubt very much the Steam sales would be as ludicrously generous as they are.
That gamers hate those services is irrelevant. If they want to play games from Ubisoft and EA, then they will have to use them or do without. There are other DRM services like Starforce that can bugger off at the high port - those just penalize gamers for buying genuine copies and do sweet fanny adams to those that pirate them. At least Ubisoft and EA throw out the odd free game or so.
Good thing I normally play Ubisoft games on consoles anyway.
@Max, that's what I wondered as well. My first thought is that there might be a pseudo "Ending" or game over where you just leave the bloody war zone and say "Sorry, mom." Sorta like just leaving in the Honest Hearts DLC for Fallout New Vegas.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I'm kinda surprised no one noticed. I think the other games are back on too.
noisivelet naht nuf erom era srorrimThat's good news, but I'm gonna check to see if anything's changed about the release. Because only three scenarios as to why Ubisoft would retract their decision at the last second come to mind:
- 1. Valve mentioned that users had already pre-ordered the game through their service plus the DLC, making them liable to give the pre-orders some type of compensation
- 2. Ubisoft brought it back, but with additional changes to the Ubisoft U-Play service... probably not good changes either
- 3. They had an honest-to-god change of heart and decided to go with the demand of the fans and post it back on Steam (arguably the least likely scenario).

I'm liking Pagan Min so far. I'm glad Troy Baker gets to show off his range, too.
