but he hasn't suffered enough yet.
One word from episode 15: NTR.
Akashi sure has a lot of weird faces for someone who's implied to be very handsome haha

I'm an Asian, I speaks Engrish on the interneteveryone makes weird faces when they're slowly but constantly going insane
Finally, a name for the mysterious waif.
For a moment there I thought Akashi was going to become an antagonist. Shame.
Episode 15:
- Being Akashi is suffering. Or idiotic. Whichever comes first.
- Hey, the ghost girl finally has a name. And...she doesn't seem too happy seeing Minashi. Thus, he's back under the suspicion radar. It seems he's the only one who actually remembers stuff from the past...
Ooh, good episode this time. Actually, the show has been a lot better in general since the OP/ED change
Well, that explained alot. like...basically....everything. Kinda weird to have all exposition stuffed into one episode like that).
The world, destroyed by three little kids! And wonder what happened to the rest of the Yomijim survivors.
Episode 16:
- One word to describe the existence of the Lightless Realm: vengeance!
- That said what became of the other survivors? They got turned into Admonitions somehow?
- Tsugumi has a bone to pick with everyone. After being left behind, she must've thought the bonds she forged with them was pointless...
- Iwato's on his way to LIM Land. Darn it!

I feel like the other survivors are still on the island.
So was the original plan to make a small lightless realm at IX and then they go home? I got the impression they were supposed to do that but then they got distracted by the other kids showing up. Then it just became Tsugumi being pissed.
Episode 17
- Iwato's A-okay. Looks like I was worried for nothing.
- Tsugumi really hates those guys for leaving her all alone in that realm. Especially her dear sister for taking Akashi from her. The new and improved Corpse expressed her anger with a one-sided beatdown...
- ...Then proceeds to get crushed by a powered up Argent.
- Getting through to her is not going to be easy, but I bet you she will eventually forgive them. Then die.
Next time, the(probably unnecessary) tragedy at Yomijima ten years ago.
Somewhere down the line it always comes back to the glasses douche.

Who turns out to be a bigger douche than we thought. I didn't think that was even POSSIBLE at this point.
I'll give the glasses douche credit....I havn't seen a guy that hate-able in a long time. He's also kinda weirdly only mildly hammy. Usually his type is played totally straight for the scare factor or they are like William Shatner wrapped in bacon. It's rare to see something in between in dude as evil as he is.
He'll definitely die(and yeah, he is the best thing in the show), but I don't think it will be before the final episode. Honestly, it would be kinda hard to come up with a fate karmic enough at this point.

I'm kind of worried about where things are going— Natsuiri looks set to die, but he's by far the most entertaining thing in the show
Episode 18:
- Susan was soooo badass, keeping her sanity in check.
- Hmmm... Natsuiri wasn't so bad back in the day. But somewhere down the line he...lost it.
- Oh yeah, Natsuiri's definitely a Glasses Douche, but he's a well-developed Glasses Douche, compared to the other Glasses Douches seen this yearnote
Tentacles are never a good sign.
He isn't a bad pilot
I don't think we needed those flashbacks again.
He handled that well...
That was actually pretty messed up there.
Episode 19:
- Twas all 'bout Natsuiri. His rise, his fall, his splendor, his insanity, and him finally paying back what he owed to the islanders. ...Did he really think that Mimei would just welcome him back with open arms? Hell no! And he was done in by her "key to the future". Also, He's dying, and he can't eat his lollipops! Such a divine punishment worthy of him.

Episode 20:
- Susan's in charge now! So deal with it, you ignorant, unrepentant fools!
- Kasane's trying her hardest. Everyone is. Because there's no more room for hesitation!
- It was shown with Mimei, but it was reinforced with Aoshi. LIMs haven't escaped the iron grip of death. If there's a way for Emiru and Sasame to return, they better find it quick! Natsuiri's data may just hold the key...
Episode 21:
- Akashi's proud to be Aoshi's brother. The old him would not have said those words.
- The LR is spreading and everybody's evacuating. The end is inching ever closer.
- Iwato/Raika bonding. Their relationship progressed quite...quickly, I think. Probably helped by the drama around Iwato angsting over whether or not to become a LIM himself.
- Susan had a nice plan for catching the Corpse. However,Minashi's guilt blew that out of the water.
- Minashi, you keep hounding Akashi about how he hasn't changed when it comes to how he understands Sasame and Tsugumi. Do you honestly think that simply merging with Tsugumi will make everything right with the world? The only person who has a chance of getting through to her is Akashi himself. I wasn't sure what to make of you during the series' run sometimes, but the you right now is just stupid.
- Oh look. A certain white-haired guy is trying to be relevant again.
And it's over. Overall, a fairly decent show. Slow, though. I think they could have condensed it into 13 episodes without losing much
Well, that was quite the finale. Minashi was saved, the hatred the Corpse accumulated from Tsugumi and the LR itself were dispelled, everyone got out of the ordeal fine and are now on the path of recovery, IX's crimes were exposed and most importantly, Tsugumi's no longer alone. Yays. Futhurmore, Natsuiri's research looks like it was finally accepted. He would be so glad if he had lived to see his work acknowledged. But since his methods were heinous and immoral, he didn't deserve such an honour.
This anime was alright to me. The mech battles weren't all that good, though. I liked the characters and their interactions with each other, although Minashi's insanity was quite sudden and I think I can say that Akashi ended the show a better person than he was at the start. The way the show explored bonds between people was interesting, but I think it could have been better.

It felt like the second half was decently paced, but yeah....the first one was a bit slow. It felt like they had ~18 episodes worth of material and stretched it rather than condense it.
A decent show. Fairly unique in tone and what it tried to do. I wouldn't say it entirely succeeded, but it did well enough I guess.

I agree with that. The moment Tsugumi got more focus, the show got better, to me.
Can Akashi just die now? I liked the not focused on him episodes a lot better.
Least we know who that chick is.
