I agree with the proposition. Most of these titles aren't really about actual noble titles and their place in the feudal system as much as just having a title that sounds cool and aristocratic.

Trope description is a mess, conducting a micro-analysis of how various common and obscure titles are treated in fiction ("you should break out in a cold sweat when you meet a Viscount"). Worse, examples are grouped by title, so there's a folder for how kings and queens are depicted in various media, dukes, earls and countesses, each with their own folder.
I propose gutting and rewriting the description to something broader, and grouping all the examples by media regardless of what noble title is in question.
EDIT: Nearly 48 hours and this has been neither discarded nor opened for discussion. NVM, I'll rewrite the trope myself.
