Well, Avatar made a few billion dollars so... yeah.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?So another video game movie next week? I'm hoping for Street Fighter, because it's so bad it's amazing.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Maybe it'll be Postal.
Well, there's a more recent example of slapping a household name on an unknown movie with 10 Cloverfield Lane, and it worked out great for them. Like, who would have actually seen that movie had it not been tied with a JJ Abrams movie in some way?
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"... me? I had zero interest in it as a Cloverfield or even JJ Abrams flick, but I thought the premise sounded fun.

As for Street Fighter, the first movie was fun, even if they got a lot of the characters wrong. I need to see the sequel. So far, it doesn't even sound like I might remotely enjoy it. I enjoy bad movies, but there's still a limit. Like, I liked Pixels, Super Mario Bros. The Movie, the first Mortal Kombat movie(the second one not nearly as much, as it was painfully dumb. They took the greatness of the first one, and threw it away for a truckload of characters, and one of my favorites, Sheeva, doesn't even get a real fatality or even fought.) But yeah.
Wonder if he'll mention how the main character of this movie had her own playboy issue as part of the marketing for the movie.
Kinda funny how the CGI that looked revolutionary enough back then to be released in playboy is nowaday kinda creepy.

He didn't but that's interesting.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Watching the video now, each time General Hein speaks, I'm hearing and picturing Hades from Disney's hercules (aka the only good part). And it's weirding me out. Vocal dissonance indeed.
The exact same thing happened to me.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Finished the video.
I think I repressed this film. Coz now im feeling like someone who'se been given video evidence of stuff they did while roofied but have no memory of doing. And I forgot how much this movie relies on pseudo new age technobabble. Like, wow, is there a single conversation that doesn't involve "Spirits" "Phantoms" or whatever bullshit fields and energy? Like, sometimes I wonder if they even spoke english. It's like someone watched Star Trek Voyager, went "Oh, you call that technobabble. Look at me motherfucka!"
I like the reference he made to Blues Brothers.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseYeah, the "you're saying that they're ghosts? Ridiculous!" lines were... tough.
Like, yes. I get that "Phantom" is a nickname and you're operating on the idea that they're ghost-like aliens but... they're ghost-like aliens. Who kill people by removing their spirit. How is this a stretch?

"Thursday: Sins of a really good 2015 movie"
Looking at Rotten Tomatoes' top 5... Fury Road, Inside Out and TFA have already been done, so it might be Selma or Spotlight.
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a choreOr Zootopia, that was released in 2015.
Huh, I thought it was released earlier than that, my bad.

I doubt it'd be Spotlight. For many reasons. Most of them due to the nature of the film.
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"Plus Zootopia's DVD just released today.
Granted he didn't get to Star Wars until several months after it had come out so Zootopia may not be next.

Honest Trailers just did Zootopia, so it would be rather conveniently non-coincidental if CinemaSins also did it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm certainly hoping for Zootopia soon.
For the "really good 2015 movie", on Rotten Tomatoes' top list, we have next: Brooklyn, Shaun the Sheep (but this one is an animated movie), and Room. It Follows and The Martian have already been done.
Worldbuilding is fun, writing is a chore
That and they clearly put way more effort into the CG than into writing interesting characters or a meaningful story.
