Do we really need this trope? At first glance (and at its page image), it seems that it will talk about several instances of how what may be known to one group is unknown to another like Dr. Who, MSTK 3, or Harry Potter, it just comes off as a more broad version of Minority Show Ghetto and looks like another "opportunity" to make fun of viewers and us "nobody" fans at home look like morons who haven't done anything with our lives while those on television appear so much smarter/better than us. (Yeah, they may not know who Sonic is, but we don't see your dumb self on "Jeopardy", now do we?) Please repair or at least zap this trope; I find it unnecessary.

I can't deal with these forums; they anger up the blood too much.

While I hardly feel a sense of personal insult over it (I have a theory that the age of a single unified pop culture is slowly ending and that it's a good thing), I have to agree that I don't quite see the point of this page.

Also, the quantifiable, In-Universe version of Pop Culture Isolation seems to be already covered by Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure.

Speaking of Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure, we should probably integrate the "types" into one list.

In my opinion, the main section of the page feels like a mix between a forum conversation and a high school paper, with a very conversational tone and way more words than is needed to explain the concept. The fact that the concept is a pretty obvious one (people aren't omniscient about pop culture) certainly doesn't help.

however, I don't see anything particularly destructive in the page and the examples section actually contains some not immediately apparent information.

If it was entirely my decision, I'd move this to useful notes and reduce the main section down to a single paragraph.
