Holy fuck. Also, edited my loadout, decided I didn't need scouts or avatar.

If all suits were programmed to hit ground?

Well, to make it simple... we take the suits that landed in the ocean... roughly 3 quarters of them and have them also fall on land. Lets just say that it would quadruple the number of suits everywhere. So in America alone, that would be 77,072 suits.

Then it probably wouldn't have hit near my character since it hit an Ice Shelf.

I find using HTTrack is much simpler, since that way you can simply run the original and new one through a diff, instead of having to deal with images of text.

lol I was truthfully just going to Copy and Paste into an email, but screenshot sounds neater. Thanks for the advice though.

By the way, how will AI Uplift work, I mean, will we play them as characters, or what.

I am going to flip a coin. Any undeclared control of an Uplifted AI by start of the RP will default to either me or the player permanently depending on that one flip.

A.I.s have a mind of their own and will defect to the Black Box aliens from whence they came o_0. Right, getting that out of my character before the RP starts.

Actually, I'm torn. I sort of want my character to have someone to bounce dialogue off of, A la Jarvis in the Iron Man movies but I also don't want his head exploding from an evil traitorous robot controlling his suit.

The base AI can't cause your suit to self destruct. Your suit does not have a self destruct function.

The base AI can only do what it's told.

An uplifted AI, if given control of certain suit systems, and if it comes to hate you or just has one of those types of personality, can actively and/or passively cause your death.

Some, er, news. RP has been delayed for a few days because what I assumed was a bruise in my right index finger hasn't gone away. Hunting and pecking with my left hand is going to take to long, so going to give it a few days to heal up.

Anyway, something that interested me is the paucity of certain body types. Some notable types that aren't present thus far and that's a shame: Tank, Orb, Variable.

Another thing: the Gettai ability for Heavy suits... a) does that only work with other heavy suits, b) does it only work with certain other suits (putting a) aside for the moment)?

And I don't know about the mechanics of combining/transforming mechs at, for the most part, human scale while human pilots are inside, that concerns me a little bit.

Last thing: Any comments on the characters up to this point? My character, mech look okay? Anybody thinking alliances yet?

Well, lots of media have transforming robots piloted by people. If I were to make a second character, I'd definitely pick tank.

Can't imagine that you could control a vehicle as complicated as a mecha with just a truck cabin and a few other buttons. I'd imagined it being a very mental rather than physical experience, akin to moving your arm or a limb. Not saying that it's not cool, seems a tad unrealistic, not that anyone will care (and for the record, neither do I).

I have no idea how my guy is going to meet anyone for a good while, considering he's stuck in the antarctic. I doubt his suit is powerful enough to get to the rest of the world. He'll probably have to do some stuff on his own involving finding the nearest research camp and getting on a plane.

Well I said ''vaguely' like a truck cab. You're not in my head right now but as I imagine it it looks quite alien and tech-y. And driving a freight truck isn't super easy anyway. Besides, the way I see it locomotion is a lot more simple for "Porky", as a heavy quadruped, than it is/would be for most suits or mechs, and since all the weapons are fixed in one place it's not like they would even have more complicated controls than a simple 'fire' button.

And yeah, if I were to make another character I'd absolutely pick a (wheeled) Orb, if only for the novelty. It's not a mech design I've really encountered before.

I'm thinking of changing my character location to closer to some other chars for the sake of interaction, though relatively speaking I'm not super far from a few as it stands. Either that or just go on a rampage and wait for someone to come to me when they hear about it, that's appropriately dramatic. Do we have any real bad guys yet?Victor's not a villain per se but he's not a nice person.
