Aboard the Herald-class

Parrying a flamethrower with a sword is not a good idea, as Cowan soon found out; a shorter but wider burst of flames made sure the copilot had no leeway and would soon meet an agonising death.
There was clanging; obviously the Mandalorian was headed back toward the cockpit.

Aboard the Herald-class
A spray of sticky flamethrower fuel shot from Kohyardh's arm, but failed to ignite. What little oxygen was in the room has been consumed by the weapon with its last shot, and the lack of life-support meant no more was being brought in. The sound was enough to give away his location in the smoke, and Cowan took full advantage.

Sith Trooper armor is fairly common throughout the galaxy, millions if not billions of suits were created in the Jedi Civil War from the endless resources of the Star Forge. Because of their abundance, they were often underestimated by enemy combatants. Their protective qualities were adequate, turning blaster bolts more often than not off their highly-reflective plates, and their menacing helmets had rebreathers for toxic environments and ultravision for nightops.

But other than those that had direct experience with (or against) the suits, most people in the galaxy were unaware of the strength-enhancing properties of the armor. Properties which Cowan put to use as he brought his vibrosword to bear against the Mandalorian.

The humming weapon was no simple fallback, either. Cowan had modified it over the years, increasing its durability and cutting power, and training with it for just as long. It bit deeply into the softer armor of Kohyardh's elbow-joint before he even knew what went wrong with his flamer. The smoke was clearing, gathering in the corners of the room, and Cowan aimed another stab at the warrior's knees.

A loud chunk of breaking metal in the cockpit could be heard over the blaring alarms.

The Shereshoy
From his window, Jaxon watched as the pilot's seat dropped out from the bottom of the cockpit. The Bes-uliik hung onto the top of the Herald-class without direction.

Somewhere in the Atmosphere
Jax gazed over at the ejecting seat from the Herald-class. "Well Beepy," he said to the astromech in the cockpit. "I'm startin to think that the ship's a lost cause. Guess that it's time to at least do the investigation part of the job, I just know the Lieutenant Governor's going to burst a vein if we don't bring something back. Take me in for an intercept, you're in charge until we're back. Keep the others in line."

The droid started to beep and whir, and another astromech droid back in the hallway, who was interfacing with the weapons systems, turned its head to look.

"Just... don't let it get to your head," he added, quieting the droid down. As the ship maneuvered around the falling pilot, he crouched into the cramped astromech elevator tube, which they normally used to access the hull for repairs, and closed it. When the pressurization finished, he activated his energy shield just in case, and waited for several seconds as Beepy calculated the optimal time to exit. In the blink of an eye, the elevator lifted up as the door opened, and with a boost from the jump servos in his legs, he was launched out of the ship, into the atmosphere, plummeting downwards.

He turned around in the air, and opened up his arms to slow his fall. He was a few hundred feet below the seat right now, but that distance was closing fast.

Aboard the Herald-class

The Mandalorian grunted in pain as the vibroblade connected with his elbow, then chuckled. “So you are going to be a challenge after all!” he said.
As Cowan stabbed at his knees. He lightly stepped aside and took advantage of the pilot's lower posture to aim a punch at his head.

On the Herald-class' hull

The Bes'uliik, feeling that the ship was plummeting, fired its thrusters and left the ship, barrelling around it and aiming itself toward the falling cockpit section.

Aboard the Herald-Class
Blood ran down Cowan's forehead as the blow from the crushgaunt sent him reeling backward. He'd barely managed to roll with the powered punch, or his brains would be decorating the cargo bay. His enemy's powersuit was much stronger than the copilot's own standard-issue fare, so he'd have to win this battle with skill. Not bothering to close the distance, he shook out the stars in his vision and held his humming sword out like a duelist, keeping the Mandalorian at bay, but made no further movement.

The ship began to tip forward, which only became noticeable as the gravity generator was starting to fail. It would not remain airborne for long.

High Above Klovaan

Strapped into the plummeting seat, Yano saw two figures fall from the ships high above him, and realized even ejection would not save him. The smaller one passed him by, while the much larger droid seemed to be zeroing-in on him. He would have started to scream if he wasn't already, but the air rushing around him likely made it inaudible.

Meanwhile, in the Skies Above Klovaan...
His increased air resistance quickly zeroing the distance, and his jump pack taking care of the rest, Jax reached out and grabbed the ejected pilot's seat from below. He brought one of his crushgaunts over the pilot, and firmly pressed down on the buckle to keep it in place, while he anchored he legs around the seat as well.

"I want to know who you are, and why you and your friends came here," he said, his voice loud but inhumanly monotone. "And you have about ten thousand meters to tell me. I know you're probably too scared of your superiors to risk spilling your guts to get out alive. So I'm not offering to save your life as a reward. No, that's the threat. Instead of enjoying this fall for the rest of your life, dying with the knowledge that I'm going to shoot the superiors who no doubt made your life hell, I'll make sure you're alive and leave you at his mercy."

He pointed his finger up at the Basilisk that was approaching.

High Above Klovaan
Yano shouted to be heard, "Okay! I'll talk! I'm here with eleven men, working under a Sith Lord; Darth Caustus - I'm just the pilot, I don't know exactly what he wants here."

He looked downward, checking the distance with his gauntlet on the repulsorchute mechanism. He shook his head and refocused,

"Shit. Shit. He sent his second to investigate some old base of operations to the west of where we landed, uh, somewhere in the mountain range there. Sorry, that's- that's probably useless to you, it's a big region and the coordinates are back on the ship."

He looked back up at the Basilisk, whose retrothrusters maintained its distance from the pilot's plummeting seat.

"Please just let me go."

Meanwhile, in the Skies Above Klovaan...
"As you wish," Jax said. He pushed off of the seat and kicked off of it, sending himself away. He spread his arms and legs again to lower his freefall speed, and glided away from the seat. He sent a command over to the ship, instructing the astromech droids to bring the ship around.

"If you can't salvage the ship, rip out the navcomputer," Jax commed over to Koh as he fell through the sky. "Has the location of a Sith base on it, might be something worth checking out."
