...which is probably a good thing.
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty. It would have sucked worse than THIS SHOW probably does; though I think it's a given this show is in that same boat of sucking...
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Gah, I am not even going to touch this one after seeing that trailer. I tried to give Bread Winners the benefit of the doubt and then I saw Love Loaf and that one Halloween Episode.
Sigh, I'm going to try this one more time:
"This show doesn't look like my cup of tea. I'm going to skip it." - This is an acceptable reaction. You're expressing your opinion respectfully and not accepting it as a fact.
"This show is going to suck! Everything affiliated with Seth Mac Farlane is awful!" - This is not an acceptable reaction. You're judging a show that hasn't aired yet and stating your opinion as a fact.
'Thia is sure going to suck' is not a good opinion.
'This sure looks like it's going to suck' has always been a completely valid opinion, however, since human progress is built on the basis of recognizing signs of things even before they actually happen. Sometimes we are right about them, sometimes we aren't, but until things do happen, everyone's entitled to the right to say they look like they're going to turn out okay or not.
'Everything associated with X or Y creator has been crap' is also a valid opinion, regardless of if one shares it or not.
Also, because of the very nature of average speech, especially in a fast moving written medium like a well populated forum, there's no actual need to put an 'in my opinion' before every statement, which would get alienating and repetitive before long. No one here does it, yourself included, so basic common sense states we must take every piece of statement supplied as the speaker's own intended opinion and not their 100% objective statement of fact unless otherwise explicitly noted. Doing otherwise is as judgmental as the misstep one would be accusing the others of.

I have never stated my opinion as a fact in that post. I thought I made it clear that it wasn't my cup of tea.
I wasn't necessarily addressing you. I just decided that it would be a good idea to repost that since this thread has emerged from the dead.
I actually don't know if this show will be my cup of tea either. However, American Dad got off to a rocky start and it's now one of my favorites, so who knows.
The series just premiered tonight, and it's about what I expected. All the jokes are about racism and prejudices, the kids are all all about as badly drawn as Bob's Burgers characters, except not on purpose, and the girl is SO FUGLY!!!! I'm sorry, but i can't get over how "wrong" she looks compared to Meg, who IMHO is pretty hot. I guess J.G. is about the only likable character so far, but that's not saying much(considering he's also a smart ass with others). I see this having about as much traction as Allen Gregory. 2/10
"We be we baby!"Yeah, this didn't leave a good first impression at all. It threw way too much out there. A pilot/first episode should be much more focused, this was all over the place and didn't have very many memorable gags or good laugh lines.
There's a lot of character dynamics going on which could work if they gave them room to breathe and wrote the characters well.
Hmmm... It's 10 PM Monday in the super eastern time zone right now, can I use my Perfectly Legal SupRTeeVee to watch this yet?
H.B. WardA better question would be "Why would you want to watch this on it?"
"We be we baby!"Believe it or not, sometimes when a show premieres, somebody who has never seen it before thinks it might be worth it and decides to watch it just in case it turns out to be good.
You were right though, it isn't. None of the characters were likable, and I only laughed once because all the jokes fell flat. The jokes could have been good, I mean their ideas on the surface seemed like they'd be pretty good, but they just didn't turn out well in practice. This is not a good show, and somebody took the words right out of my fingers earlier on with Allen Gregory, this show reeks of the same problem with line delivery.
Also, how am I supposed to take the annoying female seriously? It's impossible to feel bad for her. ...Or to laugh at her.
H.B. WardThe one thing that is an ultimate turnoff for me is how gross looking the females are. I know it should not matter, but I at least stay for Family guy because of Lois, and Quagmire's whores.
"We be we baby!"Family Guy's female characters look better in the show than they do in the... alternative artwork.
H.B. WardAU!Meg will always be best girl!
"We be we baby!"Dude, can you like, knock it off with all your constant talk about whether female characters are hot vs. "fugly?"
It adds nothing whatsoever of value to the conversation to keep hearing whether or not a cartoon character gave you a boner. The fact that your entire enjoyment of a show seems to revolve around this is uncomfortable to hear about, as well as your casual use of "whores" to mean "women who have had sex."
This obsessive scrutiny of female character's looks is really demeaning. Women, fictional or otherwise, do not exist solely to be your Tit Delivery Drones. How do you think it makes a real, actual woman feel to read this crap if she has the same body type you're calling "OMG SOOOOO FUUUUGLY?"
There's so much more to life.

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.I'm more mad about the RandomLetters!''Title'' thing with really messed up punctuation than anything else.
H.B. WardCan you relax with your Social justice bull?! It's kind of pointless as well to tell people what they can and can't say about a character and if it really lowers the appeal of said show or not for that person. But if you want me to be really serious, this show, right off the bat, is nothing but stereotypes. Stereotypical White people, stereotypical Mexicans, Flat, unfunny jokes that are either about race, idealism, or more stereotypes about character types, and above all: EVERYONE SO FAR IS SO GODDAMN UNINTERESTING! I would love to know more about the daughter's likes and dislikes, but she so far reminds me of a female Chris. Put it simply: I don't think I'll be watching anymore of this show.

"We be we baby!"This be going places....
It has nothing to do with "social justice" to point out that your talk of women is gross and unpleasant. It's everyday ordinary decency. Do you see ANYONE else talking the way you do? Absolutely not.
"I hate this show because the females are fugly, I like this other show because of the sexy whores" is not a normal thing that normal people say in public. It's the most cringeworthy, embarrassing crap I've seen around here since the deletion of the fetish fuel natter. It's creepy. Everyone thinks it's creepy.

bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons. This is going more places than Cain did after collecting the I've Seen Everything glasses and the transcendence Noose!
H.B. WardBack on topic, I did kind of chuckle at the whole Alien probe subplot because it's just that dumb.
"We be we baby!"
Well, he wanted to do a Flintstones remake, but it fell apart.
