You know you could have just posted this in Humble Bundle thread right? Just sayin'...
Give me cute or give me...something?I did.....before I created this one.
I thought this was different enough to warrant it's own thread is all, and i thought people might pass it as another double fine bundle which it kinda is and isn't
It had its own thread last year too. If they're doing it like last year, there will be all sorts of media around the event; livestreams, documentary video, an event to vote on the prototypes, etc. Humble Bundle is just handling the hosting/promotion/fundraising.
Man, Parabolic sounds like a great way to have interesting interactive storytelling. (That's not one of the three I voted for, though.)
Video Game Census. Please contribute. They've narrowed the games down to the ten finalists. Sadly, some games I was really interested in did not make the short list. Oh well, that makes it easier to choose my three.
Video Game Census. Please contribute. You gotta wonder how Pendleton Ward can juggle between doing this and Adventure Time. Seriously, how does he do it?
Only one of my voted pitches made which at least kept me from throwing hands up in the air and declaring myself hipster.

Double Fine is at it again.
For those that don't know or forgot, Amnesia fortnight is a internal Game jam were they forget everything they are doing at the time, pitch their ideas for a game and some are selected. They then get into groups and churn out a prototype in 2 weeks.
However the last one went differently, since they had the whole 2 player productions team for Double Fine Adventure they along with the Humble bundle went and opened it up to the public for the first time in 2012.
The people voted on pitches and 2PP made videos and the various teams made livestreams documenting the process. A couple of those games actually are coming or are available right now, Space Base DF 9 and Hack and Slash specifically.
This year they are doing it again.
For the next week pay what you want and vote on 29 pitches for games from various workers at Double fine.
The top 10 Finalists will be announced on Feb 10th.
When the top 3 are Announced you will then see Videos from 2PlayerProductions and livestreams from the various teams as the projects come together. When all is said and (hopefully) done you will then be able to play those prototypes.
However pay over the average and you can pick 1 out of an extra 4 pitches....what makes these pitches so special? Why they were made by Pendleton Ward of Adventure Time fame.
That's right he is going to have an entire team to churn out a prototype game. But of what you'll just have to go to the website and find out.
And again since this is humble bundle you can pay whatever you want and be able to vote. You can only vote on Ward's ideas if you go above the average.
