Gotta say, Red Death is proving to be delightfully hammy. Even did a "You wanna get nuts? C'mon, let's get nuts!"

Alright so basically Flash Season 9

• Ryan Wilder is back
• ...as the Red Death Batwoman from the Negative Flashpoint timeline
• A bunch of b-listers help Barry fight crime now
• Iris and co. fought back against Red Death and shunted her off to this timeline
• Red Death wants a cosmic treadmill to go back to their timeline
• That costume suit-up was badass
• Barry still hasn't learned to super-speed neck snap people like Thawne

Good to be back for one last CALCIFIED SPEED ENERGY rodeo y'all

Ah I miss when I unironically liked this show.

I still hold this up as the best scene in... the Arrowverse.

I'm not really sold on Red Death so far, neither the motive, nor the performance.

I like that Javincia seems to have taken some tips from Rachel on chewing scenery. That look she gave when Barry was swearing to protect Iris had me rolling.

I think she was having a lot of fun with the role, especially since she had to be much more subdued on her own show.

So the nickname "Chill Lame" made it into the actual show.

Dang I still have all of Batwoman Season 3 purchased on my Youtube account.

I want my CW fix back. I'm gonna rewatch that. Buy Seasons 1 and 2 as well.

So, I guess this was Nia's final appearance in the Arrowverse

Until 10-20 years from now, when the nostalgia cycle moves to bringing back franchises from the 2010's.

This Season has been so-and-so, but this trailer here? Made me freaking excited! 3 more weeks

Okay, bringing Oliver back for one last teamup is kinda playing on easy mode, but damn if this wasn't one satisfying episode!

I agree. That was one heck of an episode, and a worthy finale for the whole verse.

Even though there is one last Arc to go. And then it will all be over :(

Huh. A satisfying resolution Barry's conflict with Thawne. Who would've guessed.

Highlights:

• Barry finally becomes the Season 1 Future Flash
• We see the Season 1 flashback from Future Flash's point of view and get a little more of what happened to him and Thawne
• Barry gave Thawne a head start lol

If we've gotta go back to that night one more time, this was definitely the way to do it.

So, with Khione being a literal Goddess, I'm already calling her being the Deus ex Machina to defeat the Negative Speed Force for good

The last episodes weren't particularly great, but hey, who else is excited for this?

To paraphrase Ryan George using a chosen section from one of his farcial Pitch Meeting videos in which he has an uncharacteristically enthusiastic reaction to a bad movie when it gets really good in the last few minutes, "I think this (season) just got good!?"

You know, the show definitely had its problems but I'm ngl when I say I'm really gonna miss it.

I'm conflicted. I stopped watching around Season 4 so a lot of my memory of this show is from when I was still really into superheroes.

• Superfriends
• Captain Cold
• Calcified Speed Force energy
• Random Felicity Smoak cameos
• whatever was going on with Caitlin Snow
• The introduction of the multiverse

Lot of good stuff, some of which never had pay-off

• Cold never came back or formed the Rogues, and Heatwave became a different character entirely
• Barry and Felicity remained friends
• I guess we did finally get more Savitar and a proper end for Thawne
• The multiverse was saved shortly before all the CW shows were canned

Then I peeked around for stuff like

• Speed Force lightsabers
• We are The Flash, Barry
• whatever was going on with the Speed Force Wonder Twins
• Mom Allen became the Speed Force
• Thawne became a literal Nazi to spite Barry in a crossover
• Joe's indignation about sparing Thawne from his fate

Overall I'd say I liked it more than Arrow, Legends, or Supergirl. It never beat Arrow Seasons 1 or 2, but it definitely beat Seasons 3 and 4.

Loved the Evil Speedster Teamup, did not like that the eventual solution was "hey, the cosmic embodiment of hatred and envy can be convinced to peacefully co-exist with us".

Saw the finale now. It was pretty.....meh. The four evil speedsters were wasted, the way Eddie was defeated was lame, no Cisco, no Julian, Khione's storyline was completely pointless, Cecile now suddenly flying was so unnecessary, the overuse of these Force Lightning powers was annoying.....yeah, could've been much better.

But I guess it is best that no more Seasons are to follow. It's sad to bid the Arrowverse goodbye, it has been a good run, but all things eventually outlive their Golden Age.

Had a watch party of the finale with my friends despite the fact none of us had watched the Flash post s4.

-I am glad I used tea for the drinking game of a sip for every blue rose. So so so glad. -Admittedly we hadn't watched any episode with the newer characters, so they were going to confuse and fall flatter. But wtf was with Khione's arc.

- Cecile that does not seem the time to worry about work life balance. It seemed like it would be a fine conflict in a normal arc, but in the finale it felt like it got in the way

-Chester and Allegra were cute.

-Barry's parents in the 2000 section felt Weird because they were being so overly familiar to what should be a perfect stranger to them.

-Eddie's arc was great for the most part, but felt like it tripped 3/4ths of the way through.

-The evil speedsters mocking each other was great. TBH I wished there was more between RF and Eddie, given how Eddie killed himself to defeat RF and that is a Huge Point of his arc, and Eobard constantly coming back was something that really destabilized Eddie... but when they're on screen together Eobard throws out a few jabs and that's it

-The best fight was the one where they used fists. The CGI stuff felt so goofy, and not in a 'I'm laughing with you' way.

-The speech Barry gave talking down Cobalt Blue felt flat, like it didn't really dig into their specific relationship.

Overall it was fine. I definitely feel like we missed a lot in previous seasons so that hampered it (Speedforce Nora just walking around?) but overall it was OK. Felt like it could have used another draft or something.

Rewatching the very first Flash / Supergirl crossover.

Man, I forgot how fun both shows used to be. Much like DC itself, they became a bit too "grim, epic event" centric in later seasons.

Except for Legends of Tomorrow, which followed the exact opposite trajectory.
