I've owned a couple crossbows and I really love the aesthetic and feel of these weapons. Currently I have a self-cocking rifle-style crossbow (my pistol bow broke) with brass pulleys and a steel drawstring. It came with a Red Dot sight but I don't use it. I've been practicing targeting for a couple months now and I've gotten really good with it.
I also have an 18" blowgun and bunch of darts. That one's fun to use on a target board. I have throwing knives but I haven't learned the knack of those yet; my attempts at using them (on a target) have been unsuccessful.
And I have my folding blade brass knuckles (two of them, one with extra points on the brass knuckles.
But all in all, the Crossbow is my favorite. Powerful. Deadly-looking. And unique.
(I also found, on ebay, a replica medeival wooden crossbow styled sort of like a dragon. I jokingly call it my "Klingon Crossbow".)
