Hair color and animated couples

I've noticed a certain pattern when it comes to animated couples, one that involves hair color, and it seemed like it was at least worth mentioning.

I've noticed that:

Blondes tend to hook up with Red-heads -

(Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable)

(Artemis and Kid Flash)

(Fred and Daphne)

(Johnny Quest and Jessie Bannon?)

(Aquaman and Mera)

Black-hairs tend to hook up with Blondes -

(Jake Long and Rose)

(Stan and Francine)

Red-heads tend to hook up with Black-hairs -

(Fred and Wilma)

(Robin and Starfire)

(Conner and M'Gann)

(Ariel and Eric)

(Tony Stark and Pepper Potts)

(Kevin Levin and Gwen Tennyson)

(Ash and Misty?)

Again, just something that i felt i had to point out

Heroes Want Redheads is in effect for most of those, I think. It probably doesn't have to do with animation specifically.
