I feel like I'm missing something... the title screen doesn't seem like much of an example to me, since it's the title screen (thus not part of the body of the work) and they're not being promoted in rapid succession. The comic panel is great because it has them awkwardly shoehorning in their names in bold in conversation, which fits it perfectly.
