Hi! I am an author and programmer (both mostly self-taught) and I recently had an idea for a mobile/tablet application. The idea behind it is to tell a story taking place over a full year. The app would be updated with a paragraph every 3-4 Days in real time (so a paragraph uploaded on the seventh of february takes place on the seventh of january in-universe). I Think a process like this would be perfect for world-building, and to complement fiction posted by authors elsewhere on the web (the stories from the app itself could naturally be posted traditionally on the web as well to avoid archive panic).

The app could also provide polls and discussions ("who do you Think we should follow for the next week, the hero or the villain?" etc) and can be complemented with images, comics and what have you in addition to the text. I Think that this idea has some potential for those that are to busy to do traditional reading, but would like something bite-sized to read on the train, for example. I have already made a prototype that works reasonably well (on iphone at least).

What do your guys think about this idea? Does it hold any potential whatsoever? Suggestions to how it should work and be implemented? Any and all ideas and thoughts on this are welcome! Thank you for your time.
