A fair amount depends on the setting, but with rich people or nobles we can always resort to the parents setting a bad example. For example, disciplining their child any time they catch them being too nice to the servants, or hobnobbing with people below their station. "We must keep ourselves above the common rabble." They might do charity for noblesse oblige, but it's arm's distance charity at best.
And most of the kid's friends/peer group will be the same, as their parents don't associate with the sort of upper crust people who are Nice to the Waiter; it makes them uncomfortable.

So one of the minor villains in my work happens to essentially be a Noble Bigot (but later pulls a FaceāHeel Turn) They also happen to be kind of a Rich Bitch as well. They're a bit prejudiced, but that isn't really the main source of their 'assholery' as it's more of a not treating their 'inferiors' respectfully and such.
