Too many people in one group of characters can make it very difficult for the people in that group to keep track of what they're doing and post.
If there's one group, everyone shouldn't just pile into it.

Ah. I guess so. Then again, compared to what I'm used to, we're moving at a nice sedate pace that leaves plenty time to react. But I guess that's just me.

Uh... there are enough people. 'I like the feel of this group' does not overcome the fact that there are enough characters already. Sariel, Artemis, Tach's character, Sakura, Momo & Jin, Emi, and Shiki are more than enough characters for one group. Two more is too many.
And there's a contest, one character is on another, and half of them all need to be in one room. So yeah, stuff to be done.

Large groups require more people to post, leading to slower posting over all, until the roleplay grinds to a halt because the momentum to move things forward is spread over too many people. Large roleplaying groups = high entropy? Hm...

Just in case there are still people interested in this, I'm afraid I'm dropping this RP. That doesn't necessarily mean it's dead, since it's not like there was much of a plot planned, but someone else will need to take over GMing. Again, assuming there are still people interested in continuing with the RP.
