But Law of Averages would dictate that the main girl would at least be the favorite of someone. But, your right. When the choice is either this girl here or another the another probably wins even if arguably no one girl has the popularity to match. I say arguably because I know in my Love Hina example Motoko was loved by so many more people than Naru. Anyways, this is off topic so I'll stop.
I love Yukikaze. Awesome glowing flying horse is awesome.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntAnd Natsume becomes the main character for the next arc, while Harutora becomes the "villain".
And the anime fail this week is!
- Shidou and Mutobe don't look fucking scared when they see the awakened Yakou flanked by Hishamaru and Kakugyouki.

I have to say I honestly hope it gets a second season, because it does seem like there is more story to tell. It was rather slow to start but I have to say that once Suzuka came back, and she was my favorite character from this show and the won I would have liked to have gotten with Harutora, it remained a consistently good show. Those episodes 4-9 were a little slow.
I don't necessarily think he will be the villain, but he does have an agenda of some kind that is keeping him away from his friends and loved ones.
Yeah, there nothing that says Yakou was/is an actual villain, Gray Character/Anti-Hero/Chaotic Good though? Sure.

Episode 24:
- Darn, Kagami's persistent. And annoying! I mean, even with Kon revealing her true power, he just wouldn't stay down!
- You're living quite the precarious existence, Jin...
- Natsume's alive. And Haruyakou's off. Somewhere. I guess it's for the best. The Onmyo Agency will be breathing down his neck soon, I guess. Don't want harm to come to his friends, and whatnot. Oh well. He better prepare himself for a scolding and a knuckle sandwich should they meet again.
So I'm assuming that Natsume is only alive in some capacity and that Harutora only managed to delay the deadline and that he's now searching for a way to resurrect her for real. And it sounds like our players are going their separate ways. Dang, I want a season 2.
I shouldn't have been surprised, but I missed Kon being Hishamaru. Only realized it after the opening part of the episode.
Doman becoming Jin's familiar was all kinds of awesome.
EDIT: Apparently a theoretical S2 would have Natsume as the protagonist. Very interesting!

So a S2 would have them doing like the second half of Shakugan No Shana? That could be cool.
Hmmm...now that Kon's Hishamaru once more, I wonder how Suzu will react. Perhaps like this!
Hishamaru: W-Why?
Suzu: So that I can take you home with me.
Hishamaru: A-As if I'd allow you!
Suzu: Harutora, could you—
Harutora: N-Not on your life!
-*Suzu pouts and shakes uncontrollably.*
I regret nothing.

Shakugan no Shana took 72 episodes. Tokyo Ravens needed only 24.
Also hoping for a season 2 here. I might not understand how all the magic works but I like how cool the fight scenes are.
I agree with fillerdude's about Natsume. Then again, Harutora must have traded something in return. Wonder what it was
"If music be the food of love, PLAY ON" - William ShakespeareAbout Natsume: Its theorized that the reason Yakoutora left Natsume is to give her something to live for; essentially, giving her a reason to keep on living, as being bonded to her dragon has its quirks.
In Volume 10 Yakoutora gets caught in an anti-magic temple and surrounded by monks with guns. Yakoutora's answer? Have the shikigami he has floating over the temple drop a box which he then opens and mows down the monks with his new tommy gun. Yeah.
So Harutora is channeling Joseph's awesomeness? SEASON 2 WHEN???

To be more accurate the Tsuchigumo's machineguns destroyed the seals that held the anti-magic field up not the monks which later lend to him burning the temple.

I think there's a bit of selection bias there; the other girls always outnumber the main girl, so any given viewer's favourite is most likely to be one of the runners-up, no matter what any of their personalities are actually like.
