Man, global warming really is no joke. 30 degrees in the winter?

The Gigafloat is mentioned to be in the tropics. And just taking a look at some of the meterological data for Sao Tome, the capital city of Sao Tome and Principe that lies just north of the Equator and their average high never drops below 27 degrees. So it could just be a side effect of the location rather than a commentary on global warming.

I thought the Itogami island was somewhere near Japan? And the way they talk about the weather make it sound unusual.

I've been reading the light novels and a running theme is that Kojou complains about the heat and bright sunlight and then just sighs because it's normal for being in the tropics. And technically no part of Japan is actually in the tropics (Iwo Jima and Okinawa Island being a degree or so north of the Tropic of Cancer). So while it can theoretically be near Japan, it is by definition a long way from the main islands and it must be south of them.

OVA 2:

So, succubus mind magic makes everyone show their totally not real feelings, trust me on this senpai. Good thing Yukina's spear was there.

I like how Kojou just looked so done when Nagisa hugged him. Yukina pls.

I can't help thinking Kiriha is fighting with a giant tuning fork.

Another evil organization with a vague plan involving sacrificing a girl. I guess those are in vogue these days.

All those people coming to Itogami island to stir trouble, even though they know the Fourth Progenitor is there and he's beaten everyone else who ever tried that.

So computers in secret labs of evil organizations are connected to the internet and can be accessed by a common laptop? The lengths this series goes to make Asagi useful is amazing.

"You are coming as well?" At this point this is a very stupid question. Like, you literally never won a fight without her help.

I think next episode we are going to hear it.

Yeah, Asagi should become like the Iron Man of the series or something.

It's nice that they are trying to give her something to do besides being the designated damsel in distress that has to be saved, but it sometimes get a bit distracting when they try to shoehorn her in the plot to be useful.

Yukina has enough of the petty squabbling.

Oh look, they betrayed that guy, who could see it coming?

Well, that's a grandiose way to commit suicide.

Okay, Yukina blocking Leviathan beam was awesome. That girl is no joke.

Oh god, every time we get Asagi "hacking" scene, somewhere in the world an IT department commits mass suicide.

So Asagi is a Priestess of Cain or something? Seems like a pretty big info to drop so casually. At least it explains all those time when she improbably survived.

Still, destroying a whole island just to kill one girl? Talk about overkill.

Man, Kojou can't go five minutes without getting stabbed.

So they just talked her out of it? I admit I did not expect that, but it's a nice surprise.

I knew the swimsuit thing will become relevant later. Kojou can be smooth if he tries.

Huh, the new familiar didn't do much in the end.

Kojou just can't catch a break, I wonder if he ever thinks to himself "I'm the fourth progenitor, I don't have to take any of this."

Whoa, I knew Asagi was a big deal, but she's really a big deal. Itogami Island was made with her in mind? I must now question Kojou's main character status.tongue

This was the most passive use of "this is our fight"; fighting with words, not their weapons or magic. Surprisingly nice.

Poor Leviathan, caught between the scheming of wacky eco-terrorists and a government organization. Glad it lived, even if made the 7th familiar's debut a tad unimpressive. Of course, if the sword was successful in cutting it down, the world would've been cut in twain or something.tongue

[up]If I know the first thing about those stories, Asagi will probably be a human sacrifice or something.

Well, what else were they supposed to do? Beat the will to live into her? tongue

New episode new saga:

Okay, what was Yukina doing at the beginning of the episode? That's not how she normally operates at all it seems to be there just to make her meeting with Kojou's father as awkward as possible.

Those two really are like a married couple already. The should give bathing together a chance - but that would require Kojou to be much bolder than he is.

Yeah no, his sister sending him a pick of a magic circle with no explanation is a good reason to be worried, especially given how much dangerous magical crap happen around him.

Wow, no wonder Yukina is pissed off, it's her own organization doing shady shit, shutting her out and possibly engendering one of her friends. Major stab in the back.

Also, who's idea it was to involve the sister of the Fourth Progenitor in some shady buissnes. Really, the Lion King Organization of all people should know better than that!

So, do they already know what's going on, or not? Kiriha supposedly told them, but we don't hear it.

Yeah, not a good move Natsuki, Kojou won't just back down this time, not when his sister is in danger. I honestly hope he decks her in the face, hard.

Okay, this new arc already got me hooked much more than the last one. Can't wait to find out what's going on.

Episode 5:

You know, it is pretty weird how a mere witch can give such problems to the strongest Progenitor. But this show is nothing if not formulaic, so there had to be an excuse for Kojou to drink some blood I guess.

Yukina using Divine Possession was pretty cool.

Adult Natsuki looks good.

Kojou should seriously learn when to stop talking.

Another one?! Is this an "get in the way of Fourth Progenitor" day?

Episode 6: I kinda liked the shift in perspective. It was nice to see what's going on.

Is that Kojou and Nagisa actual grandma?

Kojou's father sure is springy for his age.

Pfft, I love how those organizations act like they know it all but then go on to make complete fools out of themselves.

Hmm, what was the point of the fight with Paper Noise? We don't get to see it, and it doesn't advance the plot in any way that a simple off-screen trip wouldn't.

Ah so we meet Yuiri from this episode. Too bad she got outmatched pretty easily by Gajou. I've been told these final episodes adapt volume 12 from the LN, so this was pretty much a setup for what's to come. I will say I'm not gonna bother caring about these new girls, like I haven't about other girls introduced this season. I've been in a One True Threesome mindset after how season 1 ended, and nothing else has convinced me that the rest of the show is keeping the harem around for non-harem reasons.

I've taken a liking to Kisaki, but I honestly can't remember the names of any of the other characters introduced this season.

In my case, it's due to how long it takes for new episodes to come out. I can't fairly call the new girls unmemorable when they don't have the advantage of binge-watching on their side. I will say, however, that I had trouble remembering their names without looking them up for reference.

My earlier comment still stands though. I'm only interested in a Kojou x Himaragi x Asagi ending, and more women wouldn't budge me from that.

Likewise, I don't have a positive opinion on the stragglers from last season (Kisaragi, La Folia and her sister Kanon).

But oh well, opinions, opinions...

Episode: Either too much time passes between episodes or the plot gets more confusing. Anyway, there is a dragon now.

If I got it right the bad guys want to use the unsealed vessel to bring back the Sinful God. which would be bad.

Also, Paper Noise put some kind of seal that messes with Akatsuki power. Great job, that will sure help him clean up the mess you guys made. :\

[up] I just wish they'd adapt Volumes 7 & 8 since the flashback arc explains so much and they don't have to write around the fact that afterwards Asagi knows that Kojou is the Fourth Primogenitor.

Oh, I almost forgot that season 3 is out.

So we start with Kirasaka and the girls from previous season on a ship getting stuck in some magical trap. Kirasaka is a give but it's nice to see the other girls aren't forgotten after their arc is over.

Seems Nagisa has an burning case of hots for her brother. Now, that is rather awkward.

So when some shit goes down, their first suspect is Kojou? The guy who saved the island half a dozen times already. Natsuki at least should know better than this

I like how the general public don't give a shit about the attacks at this point.

Gee yet another terrorist organisation trying to destroy the island. You'd think that after Kojou and Yukina stopped all the previous ones they would see the pattern and not even try. Is there even anything that sets them apart from all the other clowns who tried?

Oh they have Avvora that'll do it.

Btw the sub I had to use was awful. And the worst thing is, it would be really easy to correct it. Why do people even do subs if they're not going to even try to do it well?

I think I'm at the point where I have to binge watch the previous seasons, like I did for A Certain Magical Index. I couldn't care at all for the little sister because I forgot the deal with her character.

Episode 2: We are at the part of the arc where everyone jobs a lot to make the bad guys look like a threat.

Man, December annoys me so much, she just so smug for some fake Avorra. It was satysfing to see her lose her nerves when Kojou just went to town with his familiars.

So this weeks terrorist organization wants to destroy the island because it exists to resurrect Cain which I guess is supposed to be very bad news, but the show did a poor job establishing who Cain is. Also, for such an important place, the whole island has like super shitty security, to the point it'd be destroyed several time already if not for Kojou and Yukina.

Poor Asagi, she still seems to only exist to need rescuing.
